I like them all except for the first episode. That one really sucked. I watched the movie 2 days ago, and personally, I think it's even better (just a bit) than the series.

Cowboy Funk was a funny episode with Teddy Bomber. Especially when the guy was wearing the bear costume. I remember the very first time Adult Swim ever played the Cowboy Bebop series and they cut out the Cowboy Funk and Waltz For Venus episodes. They cut Cowboy Funk because, well, theres a man blowing up big buildings and WfV because it opens with a plane hijacking. I also think they cut Pierrot Le Fou the first time through, too. It wasn't until way after 9/11 they played the complete series.

The teddy bear bomber one was incredibly funny. nothing like seeing Jet dressed as a hippie. Mushroom Somba was also great.

Episode #20: Pierrot Le Fou
Mad Pierrot is awesome and you can see that I like him by my avatar.

That entire episode seemed like a tribute to Batman: The Animated Series. Kind of like Batman vs. Joker, in a huge carnival, duking it out, except it's Spike vs Mad Pierrot.
Most excellent.

i dont really have a favourite character, session, bounty, song etc. except to say that this is probably my favourite show of all time. i know what my name is but cowboy bebop's story and characters are VASTLY superior to FF7 and massive credit to watanabe, kanno and everyone else involved with the show.

something to note is that recently watanabe did an interview in which he states that he'd possbly do more bebop in the future and that spike isnt necessarily dead (which would be utter shite if he wasnt because thats kind of the only way it could have ended considering the way his world view and the way things pan out, especially in real folk blues 2, as well as all the references to the ending in previous sessions, the underlying messages and meanings behind everything in the series etc.) the link is thus - http://www.dailytexanonline.com/media/paper410/news/2006/02/14/LifeArts/cowboy.Bebop.Director.Watanabe.Talks.Anime-1611865.shtml?norewrite&sourcedomain=www.dailytexanonline.com&page=1#more

anyway, the work which will become a genre itself will be known as - cowboy bebop. are you living in the real world?

Bebop is perfect as it is, i rly hope he doesnt continue it as it just doesnt fit, even if he would do the logical prequel of Spike and Vicious past it just isnt necessary
maybe a "lost" episode can work.. kinda like the movie
or maybe a small series or a movie of Ed and Ein!!

he should continue or atleast make a movie of Champloo as that ending invited more material

there are loads of characters whose futures could be elaborated on - ed and ein searching for ed's dad and macintyre (was it?), jet and faye, mefia, elektra from the movie, the old red indian guy and his wolf, judy and punch the bigshot presenters etc. and i would like to see faye and jet have some sort of happy resolution for both of them because they both looked pretty gutted and didnt have much to look forward to after spike left.

but then again i dont think it would serve much of a purpose except for more prequels. and spike has to be dead.

adieu.

it's kinda hard to believe after all the other things he's been through, but yes, Spike's dead. (i hope). and a prequel-type movie would be a good idea, because it took me a long time trying to figure out what happened in 'the past'. i'm still kinda confused, actually. lol.

nah, i thought the depiction of spike's past was fine in the series. but let me clear it up for you.

HEAVY SPOILERS.

vicious fought with gren in some war on titan (dont know if it was the same war vincent fought in), then vicious joined the red dragon syndicate which spike was a part of, and they fought together as partners. then julia came along, joined the syndicate too i think, and they both fell in love with her. then vicious told julia to kill spike, or die herself. she was meant to meet spike in a graveyard and run away with him. she did neither, so spike faked his own death and fucked off to become a bounty hunter. that was 3 years before the events of cowboy bebop started.

SPOILERS OVER.

by the way, if any of that is wrong, please feel free to correct me people.

i don't know, a lot of ideas spring up about sequels and prequels that could be done really badly, but then if they did more of the show it would be done by the same people, and it's likely they wouldn't screw it up, and instead do more good shows. still, personally i think it's best to leave it as it is and enjoy what's already been made.
