You're asking what KIND of 80s music people like? Dude, that's like asking people if they like 70s music other than disco.

So on that note, yes, I like 80s music. What kind of 80s music? You figure it out.

Is this supposed to imply that there was one kind of music in the 80s or something?

Rolling Stones are not 80's music at all ! They're good 60's & 70's music, but after that they continue to play song in the old way !

What i like in 80's ? All those Synth sound, for those who know, those yamaha DX-7 & KX-5 sound that we can find in old games !

I dig the 80's sound. It's vintage, with all the real instrumentation and rock drumb kicks. I like the triumph type songs that you'd usualy hear while some young fighter's training or he finally makes it to the big fight. You know, i.e. Rocky Soundtrack (Ivan Drogo Intro). *

80's fashion. ^

I love 80's music, and especially Grace Jones. Grace Jones was everywhere in the 80's; movies, music, commercials, fashion and everything else. Anyone who grew up in the 80's remembers her.

Elvis Costello and the Attractions.

His work from the 70's...well everyone knows My Aim is True, This Year's Model, and Armed Forces. 3 landmark albums, to be sure. But he put out most of his greatest work in the 80's:

Get Happy!!--my absolute favorite
Trust
Imperial Bedroom
Punch the Clock
King of America
Blood and Chocolate
Spike--just magical

I think by saying 80s music we have to consider many aspects regarding music production - influence - releases.
Not to forget these years the market was almost entirely diverse from nowadays, VHS stores, order by phone and mail, cinema, music stores you'd spend half of your day in there browsing vinyls and tapes, driving miles to watch a show or movie, the art-flow these days been interesting with electronics being introduced and eventually establishing themselves to music.
In my opinion those years will be the golden era for future artists (unimportant how long will history last)
I will not name any band / artists as this would require bypassing many many favorites!!!
