Today I bring you what is yet the longest Mortal Kombat tribute video ever made. I started this project as a simple combo video, but it evolved into something much deeper and meaningful. The glittering jewel known as Mortal Kombat 5: Deadly Alliance changed my life in more ways that I could hope to imagine. I knew from the first day that I played it, I had to express my love for the game beyond just posting about how I enjoyed it and who the coolest character was. The artistic and aesthetic beauty of the model and level design, as well as the balanced, fast, and fun gameplay exposed me to a universe that I had never thought possible.

I would like to thank my partners on this project, Juggernaut, JFCalibur88, Konqrr, for contributing videos and support, and ultimately having faith in this movie. And also Sub-Zero_7th, who perhaps has a deeper knowledge about this game than any other person alive, lol.

I must thank Konqrr again, HUGE ADMIRATION for hosting this video directly on his site... TRUELY a king amongst men....

Here are the technical details and features of the movie:

-Highest yet discovered open air and wall combos for every character
-Custom music track for almost every character, over 30 music tracks are used
-mix up games/effect pokes and sweeps used in a interesting and hilarious fashion in match fights
-Intense matches featuring all characters on every arena
-PLAY AS MOLOCH VIDEOS!!! AW YEAH!!
-Easter Egg material as well as Test your sight max/Test your might diamond break
-Glitch/bug/exploit material... some of this stuff has to be seen to be believed!
-Much, much more... you will have to see it for yourself!!!

I have tested this video in the following media players and have found it to be fully functional with no problems:

Media Player Classic
VLC player
Windows Media Player

So I recommend that you use one of those media players to watch the video.

Length: 1 Hour, 4 Minutes, 46 Seconds
Size: 412 MB

yah. i just saw the whole thing. i was very happy with it. the music got a little to old for my tastes. its the type of trance that was popluar in the mid to late 90's. i still love trance and any other type of electronica but i really got myself sick of that type of trance. i think i just listened to it too much back in the days. similar to how i used to love rap but i listened to so much that now i can't even stand it. >.<

but better than nothing. more metal would have great. :p

i got that suggestion for MANY other forums, too much techno, more metal would have been better. i will definitly do this with the next video i make, probobly for mk:armageddon comming in october.

awesome! very happy you were satisified! thank you!

i can't wait. sink up some punches and kicks to the music, and you'd have a killer video. >.<

it wasn't really techno though. you can tell the diffrence. that was all mostly trance. techno is harder and really cool. trance is like more happy dancy rave type. while techno can almost be like metal in strenght and hardcoreness. right now i'm still into the ambient stuff.

check this out

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_electronic_music_genres

i wonder which of these combines metal and electronica the most. whatever tha'ts called, i fucking love that. kinda like some rammstein songs.

so its trance now? you might be right. thats what most of it was called when i 'aquired' it. i dont know my way around the genre definitions, lol.

however some of it is quite techno i believe. the link you posted has like, 10 different versions of techno. jesus christ!! like for example, uk techno, like there is really a techno that ONLY comes out of the UK?? thats a little pedantic!!

you should splice in some music from Ely Muff http://mangaisland.forumup.be/images/smiles/Trilly-22-5.gif
http://relay.exequo.org/spc/resonancefm/podcasting/redzeroradio/RedZEROradio_-_ElyMuff_live_17_1_04.mp3

its mostly just to explain where it came from. doens't mean it only comes from there. just where it was born.

i'm still trying to learn the diffrences of each. maybe i can get lucky by d/ling a song of each genere and maybe i can tell the diffrence. o_o

Django - im downloading both mp3s now, its gonna take 30 minutes to finish though. ill defintly listen to them! thanks!

Tact - i read your wiki link, and there are SO many different genres, i mean is that really necessary? isnt anything composed with a drum/beat machine and pure electronic sounds not calibrated to sound like any other instrument just considered techno?

Tact
08-18-2006, 11:31 PM
i'm guessing by the wiki link...that no. :p

that's why i just like to reffer to everything as "electronica". use that, and it doesn't matter what it is, you'll be correct.

whoa that ely muff-redzero was 55 minutes long! i enjoyed the 7 minute mark the most. did you record this off the radio?

BLRG-live quebec city, is amazing at the 6 minute mark. the womans voice is a great touch. then at 28 minutes you get the guitar which is sweet. nice find, did you get this off the radio too?

the Ely Muff set is a radiosession wich i found here

the BLÆRG set is from a live show wich i found on his website
here's the rest of them if your intrested

dang. the speed on those links is so unreliably crazy. first i'm going down at my normal speed, 500kb++ now i'm like going from 3kb to 16...O_o wtf!!

edit: now its down to like .05kb a second. arg!!

yah...that website sucks. i can't even get the rest. >.< just as well though. its too chaotic for me. it goes into a diffrent sound every 3 seconds. like it relies too much on chaos in order to be hardcore. bleh
