What a quality site this must be, having such an awesome host and all!

Seriously, no one gives a shit about your idiotic site except for other pathetic idiots. Fuck off and die in a filthy gutter with rats nibbling on your eyeballs.

Wow, thanks for the complement!
It took a long time to make all that, so I'm really glad you like it :)

Your site is sort of cool, but it doesn't feature any of its own content except for your bio. To be honest, I didn't look around much, but I would've rather watched the video directly from your site instead of going to iFilms for it.

As for the petition, I would pay money specifically NOT to have another FFVII made.

Might I remind you guys that advertising threads are not allowed? By not laying into this guy, you're encouraging this sort of thing in the future.

This is the first time I've ever been to a Final Fantasy related website. I didn't know there had been a lot of petitions for Final Fantasy sequels. I played 7 a long time ago, and always thought it would be fun to make a game based on the ending, but never did anything about it until now. Honestly, I didn't think I'd recieve such a reaction as this - I thought you guys would think it was cool, but I guess not, so I won't post anything more. Maybe I'll just keep sending my new videos to Square like I've been doing, and maybe they'll like it.

...or maybe they'll tell me I'm a pathetic idiot who should die and be eaten by sewer rats, who knows.

Thanks for all the encouragement anyway, this has been a wonderful first experience with Final Fantasy forums.

Lol you shouldn't be discouraged by what one person says. I've noticed that quite a few people here aren't too fond of FF7 but don't let that keep you down =) Those of us out there that still love it (like me =D) still enjoy it. I thought it was cool =)

I thought the site was cool but I never thought of making a game about 500 years after Midgar Cloud and everyone else won't be alive.

The thing with adding sequels to a game almost a decade after is that the original purpose of the game might have dissipated. You would get the same characters, sure enough, but the creators of the game have had ten years' worth of experience since FF7, and their outlook on gaming might be different. I know that I would have a hard time picking up something I wrote ten years ago and trying to continue the story with the same state of mentality I was in when I originally wrote it. Ending in tears.

There are also plotholes and contradictions to consider, as is apparent in Advent Children. Althought this may not take effect to a game based 500 years in the future, the writers would have to tie it in with the original game - having the same towns and possibly one character in common doesn't exactly make it a sequel. There would have to be some incorporation with what happened before and everything leading to the current timeframe. Ending in tears.

Finally, FF7 is just getting played out. There was the game, which was pretty good, and later on there was a limited edition VHS show. Then there was Final Fantasy Tactics, which used Cloud, and Ehrgeiz, which was pretty much an FF7 fighting game. Now, after such a long time, there's a movie, two mobile phone spinoffs, and another spinoff of Vincent along with Cloud and Aerith in Kingdom Hearts. There was a tech demo, which made people think there was an FFVII-2 in the works, and you want yet another game based on it? Come on, give us a break Square-Enix, Cloud isn't Mario.

Some of the initial comments here were really getting me down, but thanks to those of you who are now giving nicer criticism of my idea, I feel better! :)

Today, I showed the videos to a bunch of kids at a summer college here in Maine and they liked it a lot, and then later a guy at Portland Public Access agreed to broadcast it in-beween scheduled shows, so it's going to be on TV now!
