Megadeths new ablum is a haloween release entitled "United Abominations" for all those interested, its first 3 tracks have been confirmed as:

1. United Abominations.
2. Washington is First.
3. War Gears.

The album was due out sooner but some complications arose with ex-basist Dave Effelson so its taken a while but Dave Mustaine has quoted he wants it to go back to the old Megadeth, so their new compraiators Road-Runner Records have high expectations. PS Metallica have a new album out some time soon as well.

Wow, that is kinda.....odd, actually. They are old, and they are makin a new album now?

It's not odd at all. Lots of bands stay together well beyond their youth. Hell, they usually get better with age. Megadeth still has a solid fanbase, so there's nothing strange about them releasing a new album.

Only with St. Anger. Their previous albums had still been fairly good.

Yes, they did. St.Anger sucked tho. Reload wasn't bad, Load wasn't bad. Black Album is my fav.

1. I liked St.Anger
2. Megadeth have had 8 different line up[s so its not surprising.
3. Theyre equally good bands.
4. No scrap that megadeth are better.

I liked Megadeth's last so I have high hopes for the next one. After hearing the new Metallica song they debuted at this year's summer festivals I'm sure their next will top St. Anger by a long shot, but I doubt they'll re-capture any of their old glory.

Metallica doing anything good after 1991? That'd be a shocker!
