I just downloaded Final.Fantasy.7-RARNeT and have some problems with it...I wondered if anybody else have downloaded the game and could help me? PM, preferrably.

My problem is:
I installed the game, made it work so I didn't get the 'Insert CD1' error...
I start the game, and choose New Game...Then my screen goes black and nothing happens... I have downloaded the Final_Fantasy_7_Win_XP_FIX...

Your better of just buying an official copy to be honest. At least then you know it`ll work for sure.

OK download each disk file seperately and d/l each disk like it was a real game. but if they didn't come in seperate folders... you're screwed.

*PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT*: If you come across the "Animevamp 1.4 XP patch" (also known as "the xp patch"), do NOT install it! All it is is the 1.02 patch and qhimm's chocobo patch, taken without permission and relabeled by animevamp as their own creation (I've heard they even changed a few bytes of code to disguise the outright theft). This, based only on principle, is bad enough, but the xp patch also REPLACES one of your Windows SYSTEM FILES (In all reality, it's just the one used for midi playback and is supposed to make the game sound better; in many cases it makes midi playback worse though). However, it does this without the end-user's permission or knowledge, and I'm sure it's a breach of the Windows end-user-license agreement as well. The only programs that I know of that try to alter windows files are viruses. (I'm not saying that the xp patch IS a virus, but only in that it acts as underhanded as one) So PLEASE do not install this patch. And spread the word.

FFVII was the worst port effort ever.
