Final Fantasy VII is the best FF and the best game in the history of video gaming. It has an amazing unique character set, Cloud looks awsome, his Buster Sword is legendary. Sephiroth makes FFVII what it is though, he's amazing and probably the best RPG villain ever. The graphics werent anything special but remember this was the early PSX years, graphics and stuff werent exactly the best. The music is great as it sets all moods of the game perfectly. FFVII rules.
In order, my top 10 favourite FF games are:-

I hate it when people say this FF7 was nowhere near the best FF game. Excuse me, I know it's your own opinion but everything after 7 beats seven's ass EVEN X-2 . My favorite is 8, 10 was soo close but the sphere grid messed up its chances, if the battle style were different that would be the best FF
