Agreed. Cid is a great 3rd party member. Interesting character and he has powerful physical attacks

Well yeah, if you put it that way, but for me, it was still all about adaptation, like Vincent was mainly the magic user, i guess it all differs, and eventually doesn't matter that much. :rolleyes: But you can still have a favourite party that you can consider as the best. :p Meh.

Well you can have Barret play White Mage if you want. The only real differences between the characters are their weapons (not necessarily the attack power, though) and their Limit Breaks. And in all honesty, Cloud's is the only Limit that really matters.

As other people have said, there really is no 'best team'. There all so similar in attack power and ability to use magic. The real difference is the limit breaks but even then, lets face it its not gonna make a huge difference to your game.

I just pick the characters that i feel like at the time, and when it gets towards the end of the game just rotate and change the party fairly randomly.

Use Yuffie as your third character.

Equip her with Curse Ring, the Conformer, and chain Morph + Steal as well. She'll almost always do 9999 damage, will usually attack first, and will get two items per enemy. In around 60 hours on my current game, I have 99 of every item and over 200 million gil because I always use her. Curse Ring will raise every stat by about 50, but it will kill the one wearing it in 60 seconds; Conformer breaks Morph's damage limit.

If you can't set her up like that, then just use Cid.
