What is the saddest song you know that is no longer than 3 minutes? I need this for a project :)

I was thinking the Wolf's Rain ending: Maaya Sakamoto - Gravity, but i couldn't find the one in the anime that was like 1 and a half minutes long.

of course it's super sad song. I almost... I mean I drop tears when Maya was stabbed by the longinus spear in that game. Actually that song is based on Schubert's arrangement of Heinrich Haine's Doppleganger, which is the essence of Persona II: Innocent Sin. ;_;

If you want to listen another sad song... maybe you could try Rachmaninoff's vocalise or Mozart's Lacrimosa.

I don't listen to many sad songs, but I think Johnny Cash's rendition of "Hurt" is sad. His is clearer than NIN's, and the lyrics hit home with some of us. :(

Some of Xenosaga's pieces strike a cord...a sad cord. =(

Also, a song from Tales of Legendia that didn't make the OST...dammit.

For a real song, Peter Gabriel's I Grieve sound pretty sad.

Wandering Flame in Final Fantasy X and Aeris' theme in FFVII are sad video game songs.
