You need to first equip an item with an ability once the ability is mastered you may unequip the item, but the ability will only work when you use the "magic stones" so after learning the ability you have to use the stones

it's easy to understand.

the stones are how many skill points you have, each ability requires a certain amount of 'magic stones' to equip. You get to choose which abilities you have turned on or off but they're limited to how many 'magic stones' your character has.

each weapon/armour etc has certain abilities attached to them. you can use them as long as the item is equipped. However after learning the ability (through getting ap in battle) you have that ability permanently.

No you need to level up in order to get more magic stones to put on both abilities

yes, when you remove stones you stop having the ability in battle

Yes, exactly. Of course, you may decide to remove an ability for a while in favor of another ability, but once you level up and gain more magic stones, you might choose to have both abilities equipped at the same time.

I loved that system. Infact, I love the whole game. Don't you think there was so much more magic about it than it's predecessors?
