Hello, I request a bit of help please. ;-)

I'm playing Final Fantasy FFVII, and something strange is happening to Tifa.
Cloud is at Level 45, Tifa at Level 40, and Red XIII at Level 44.

I have reached both Cloud and Red XIII's Level 3 Limit Breaks, but with Tifa, I'm still stuck in Level 1 with Beat Rush and Somersault, no matter how many enemies I try to defeat with her.

I'm in Disc 2, heading to the Underwater Reactor for the Huge Materia.

I remember playing the game when I was younger, and I remember having Level 3 Limit break in Tifa with Dolphin Blow, in Disc 1.

What on earth is wrong? :-(

Is she actually killing the baddies? Because in order to get the next limit level, she needs to kill a BUNCH of baddies.

And before you know it, "Waterkick" will appear...

You need to kill 80 enemies with Tifa to get the next limit break, an easy way to do that is to go outside midgar or somewhere with easy enemies and let her kill all of them. A easy way to use limit breaks is to manipulate an enemy and make it attack the character u want. This way i got Omnislash and Great Gospel at disk 1.

Thanks for the help. I shall pay heed to all your advice.

PS: As an answer to CyanCyde's question, yes, I am actually finishing off the baddies with her. That's what's abnormal, that with the other characters, I've reached their higher limit breaks much earlier.

Thanks again for the help? :-)

Eight? That seems much too low.

You need to kill 96 enemies, so just go to the forests between Junon and Fort Condor. They come in groups of 5 there.

No, you have to use Beat Rush 8 times to unlock Sommersault. Just like COAS said.

He said he already had Somersault. And even then, he should still get all of his first limit breaks by defeating enemies - the second limit break to each level is the one that requires the use of the first limit break in that level.

Btw, when you are trying to get the second limit break, if you get a "Miss" on anything, it won't count. So you would need to use it without getting a "Miss".

Level 1 Limit break
Beat Rush-use 8 times to get next limit
Summersault-kill 80 enemies for next limit

Level 2 Limit break
Waterkick-use 8 times.........
Meteordrive-kill 80 enemies........

and it goes in that pattern untill you use item for final heaven

wait, did Sephiroth1991 just say he had Omnislash on disc one? how is that possible since you can't get to Gold Saucer yet, much less defeat the battles there?

It's neccassary to visit the Gold Saucer in Disc 1. After the whole fiasco it's possible to revisit it and get enough points to unlock Omnislash. You just have to be insanely strong.

Well you might not belive me but i acctually used Aeris to do it, since i had great gospel first witch really helped me and her umbrella made her stronger than cloud.
