Recently while reading the newspaper that gave a tribute to playstations 10th birthday... it talked about the FFVII classic... and how it was the first game to make people cry (during the Aerith's death) Recently i really mean a few months ago...

So i was just wondering was there any Final Fantasy Songs that make you cry?

If it really said that FFVII was the first game to make people cry, it is a completely shit paper that makes up "facts" to suit whatever they're writing.

Don't ask me why, but FF X-2's 1000 words always makes me run for a tissue. I think it's the video that gets me.
Also Yuna's Ballad makes me sad too.
(I'm A sucker to sad ff tunes/FMV's)

Eyes on me is a bit soppy, but not enough for the tears to start gushing. As for Aeris's death, yeah you feel a little pang of loss, but not enough to start blubbering.

I admit I got a bit teary eyed the first time I played FFVI, when Forever Rachel started playing when Locke visits her in Kohlingen.

But other than that, music in video games doesn't usually affect me to the degree that I suddenly have to reach for a box of tissues.

In FF VII AC with the song Cloud Smiles The music in that score just hit me right in the heart especialy when cloud spots Aerith and Zack in the background and Aerith Turns around and says "You see everything is going to be Alright" and then seeing cloud smile for the first time in history i dunno it just got to me *Grabs Andrex* Sob

I don't remember the last time I cried in my life, 'twas several years ago I guess. I guess I'm not the emotional kinda person...but I'd say FFX-2 1000 words is a bit moving...

Most of the later FF songs make me cry in shame seeing how far downhill Uematsu had gone.

Aerith's theme, Cloud Smiles, and, I gotta say this, Searching for Friends made me shed a few tears.

"Simple and Clean", Kingdom hearts theme song, is the only song that got to me, middle school was rough. LOL@ puberty, and I'm still not finished.

The music it self, no. Moments combined with the music, yes.

Indeed that was a touching moment and the music really added to that effect.

I'm just going to go out and say that FF6 actually made me when SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Cid died and Celes tried to kill herself. I didn't do it on purpose, damn fish :( That's why I like Celes Theme music. Very touching.

Have you played the MGS games? I can't imagine anyone not feeling a little sad after Wolf's and The Boss' dead.

I didn't want to kill Boss....I almost killed me when I hit "O". x/
I cried during that scene. I didn't cry during the the Sniper Wolf scene though, nope.

Sniper Wolf's death is a lot sadder in The Twin Snakes. It didn't do anything in the PS1 version, but the Cube version made me cry.

^_^' ... yea... i'm gonna have to say Melodies of Life (FFIX). Though they were only just happy tears... I shouldn't have gotten into the story like that... :-/

Never liked Eyes on Me.
Sephiroth's theme from AC came pretty close to forming a tear of joy..

The only song from the FF series that REMOTELY moves me towards theoretical tears is the reunion version of "Aerith's Theme".

well since this is a thread about final fantasy music making me cry, i'd have to say "Eyes on Me" Acoustic Version. It is one of the best songs i've heard in a long time and if i try hard enough, i'd probably cry. check it for sure

how about "To Zanarkand" in FFX

I think about it when I sometimes Reminisce... I think of my friends and hardships and so on... you know what im talking about...

sometimes it makes me cry thinking what will be our future as adults while listening to this songs...

I cried at the end of FF9, more from the fact Vivi was gone than from any song in particular.
