Yeah, a movie would pretty much suck. Hell, square didn't even do a good job with an original story with TSW, they'd slaughter a FF7 movie. Anime movie might be good however.

ff7 movie?? hmmm....i liked the story in the video game, but when people make those kinds of things into movies, they usually mutilate the whole story. For example, read lord of the rings and watch the movie. there are many conflicts between the two

Well if they took alot of time and did a real good job, like LOTR then I think a FF7 movie would awsome. If they just rushed and did a crappy job then they shouldn't even bother. It would suck.

the book is too long to make into an accurate film. the film wud last for much longer than 3 hours if u wanted 2 make it accurate to the book.

FF7 isnt as long as LOTR, so cud b made into a decent film, staying accurate to the plot.

I would be cool, if the movie would be a succes, but then again if not. FF7 good reputation will go down with the FF7 movie as well and seeing that happen would be a shame.

I would love to see it, hopefully it will be better than Square's Final Fantasy The Spirts Within, because that lacked story. They would problably make it pretty good or have choices for a dvd movie to choose a path or if you don't wish to go on a selected path. That would rule.:)

I think although it would be fun to see. They could mess it up and basically bring down FF7's rep. Though I wouldn't care if it did. I love FF7 and that's all that matters to me.

I doubt real actors could do the part. It would basically be imposible to find someone to potray them. CGI would be OK, but I personal think anime would be the best. Voice actors could be problem mind... But I think anime is the best option (at least IMO).

A movie of final fantasy 7? nah! no one in the world could do the voice overs write, and if the film was bad, it would destroy final fantasy 7.

The quote was aimed at the fact that they'd either make the movie live-action/computer-generated.

They do have an anime series based off FFV... I've sen it. The dub, anyway....

It is my favourite of all the games...
The spirits within was not a final fantasy movie...What did it have in common with the games?
Square claimed to be making a "Final Fantasy" movie, it was just a CGI science fiction film.
A FF film would have to have magic, familiar monsters, wierd, but cool hair, and of course, CHOCOBO's!!!(most of the games had chocobo's right?)
Anyway, an FF7 film would be cool, but if it was crappy, it still wouldn't ruin the game 'cos i love it!:D

It would be great if they ever did make a movie for it but sadly this will never happen after the last one flopped there staying away from the movie business :(

First off if for say some chance a movie was made about FFVII wich we all know that will never happen because TSW was a flop , it would suck beyond all comprehension not because of things like weapons and magic looking wrong but for the fact the story would be mangled into a crappy two hour film beefed with nothing but special effects...and i would almost gaurante vincent and yuffie would be left out being they didnt have the biggest role in the ff7 story to begin with.

Now a anime series based on ff7 could be a possible intrest...but hey this is just my opinion.:D

Personally, I thought the FF movie (Final Fantasy the Spirits Within) WAS supposed to be a FF7 movie..or 8. I was also very dissapointed it wasn't. So yeah, I would like to see it. But they may screw up on a lot of things. @.@

I'd go see it 10 times and then some, but I'd love it with real people. (I wanna see Angelina Jolie play Tifa!) :p

but keep it animated thou. and ff the spirits with in was ok. but where were all the summoned monsters, and where was the magic at? the story was actully good but the background music stunk!!!!

Angelina Jolie is too ugly to play Tifa.

I think an FF7 movie would flop. What wouldn't flop, would be an FF7 anime. Depending on how they adapted it to the screen, an anime for FF7 would be really really good. Seeing as the characters are already pretty anime themselves. It wouldn't be too hard. The only thing they'd have to adapt would be the fight scenes and such.

And to that lord of the rings thing... there is a little thing called screen adaptation. You can't POSSIBLY fit everything in that book onto the screen. They did a spectacular job with how they played that movie out. You want to watch a 9 hour movie in a theatre go for it. But personally I think they're 3 hour condensed version was beautiful. I applaud them.

well...............i'd have to say that ff7 made into a movie?!.....it sounds cool but i'd say if they did make a FF7 well they would'nt be able to get every detail right like in the game clouds hairs blond but in the movie it might be brown{can't imagine that}soo the fans would be complaining for weeks and ruin squares movie career again! like with spirits within now the plot was very cofusing and.......{oh i guess i changed the subject}:uh?::uh?: :uh?:
