Which character do you think shapes the game the most?

I personally think that Tidus does. He makes up alot of storyline and appears alot.

It's sort of crazy that much of the game is spent hunting a guy who's dead anyway.

You could argue that Tidus (or ????? as the game referes to him) was never alive or dead in the first place. Besides, I think death means very little in Spira, there are unsents everywhere.

Personally though, I think it was Yuna who shaped the story. It was her quest for ????? that began it, and a feeling of obligation to save Spira that ended it. Many others though helped, Maechen illuminated the backstory, which made the story itself deeper, Lenne and the three leaders brought an atmosphere to the story. While the story itself I think was weak, it still had good bits, and provided that Yuna wasn't going all mushy, or Rikku and many others weren't trying to be funny, it was OK

Yuna and Tidus.. i can't decide! Aaaargh! =KABOOOM= My brains splattered!

Both characters shape up the game - story or relationshipwise. It takes two characters, two point of views and two games to tell one story.. what do you think, kids?

He aint dead, he comes back at the end

It was Shuyin and Tidus.

Because if Yuna hadn't seen Shuyin in the recorded sphere(and she thought it was Tidus), she wouldn't go on a journey to find him again.

Yui I dont get it, Explain?
And whats with the Cho Chang picture?

Yuna wouldn't go on another adventure if she didn't see a recorded sphere that shows Shuyin which she thought it was Tidus. If she didn't see the sphere and didn't go on another adventure. No dresspheres. No concerts. There would be no Final Fantasy X-2.

And whats with the Cho Chang picture?

Rude666, if you want to harass people about their signatures or avatars, kindly do it by private message, thanks.

I think it's Yuna who shapes the story the most, only because the entire plot of FFX-2 is so much more than Tidus / Shuyins' story. Yuna is always there, always helping, and generally the one pushing things forward.

Ya'll are completely forgetting Kimahri. If he hadn't found the recorded sphere, Rikku couldn't have brought it to Yuna, thus X-2 never would have occurred.

This game has a real storyline?

:S

I think it would be Tidus. Since he seems to be the trigger to most of Yuna's wandering around and his resemblence to Mr Shuyin and the rest

Dude, he was never alive. Yuna advances the story the most in my opinion. Or mabye Shuyin/Lenne cuz of the mass destruction part.

I think that it was Yuna that shaped it. She went off on the journey to find Tidus, thinking that Shuyin was Tidus, and Tidus also kind of shaped it, but it was more Yuna than anything.

What? There was a storyline to X-2? And here I thought it was a compilation of minigames and movie scenes.

Alright. I say a joint effort between the deceased party: Lenne and Shuyin, and the living parties: The Youth League and New Yevon.

Spira's divided by these two political parties, and come on, whichever one you give the Awesome Sphere to LITERALLY shapes the game.

I think yuna shapes the game the most because she kinda is the main character and you see way more of shuyin than you do tidus and technicaly tidus isnt dead he just went back to the past or something like that because when sin swallows him up he goes into the future

And "technicly," you don't seem to have a very good understanding of the plot.

TeknoBlade

"Technicly" this is a pretty retarded topic because Tidus was the catalyst that initiated the adventure. Of course, we now know it was Shuyin, but it was the belief we were seeing Tidus that started the game.

Suppose you could say it was Kimahri for finding the sphere as well.

Lenne Defintly shapes it the most cause half this crap wouldn't have happened if she had been brave enough to say those words No journey NO evil Vengagun starting up to pwn people

(going off the point I think Yuna was the Main in FFX)
Alot of people disagree with me Cause Tidus keeps calling it his story.. But to be honest I felt like Tidus was Yuna's tag along
Yuna felt much more like the main character but everyone I know IRL is willing to Bash me for saying so
