Just thought I'd point this out as it has been on many other forums. At the bottom the the scan you can see the phon coast (I think that's what it's called), which is usually sunny is fairly dark. So maybe the weather changes or perhaps there's a day and night cycle.

My friend was telling me that on FFXI for every minute it was one hour in the game. So maybe it's something similar.

I couldnt find it, but it sounds pretty good.
Although, it aint that big a deal as GTA was doing that a long time ago

That sounds very interesting imo. Although it`s about time FF caught up with this kind of idea though.
