There seems to be some fruit where the energy bar is.
In the screen shots we see Vaan, Fran and Basch riding the chocobos. So I'm guessing anyone of the people in your group can ride them.
Also theres a shot with monsters in it too. So maybe you get to fight while on the chocobo. Or maybe it's suppose to do the exact opposite and make travelling easier so you don't have to battle.
But I guess we'll just have to wait for more news.

I wonder what sort of chocobo theme(s) they'll have for this one. Hope they're really kickass, the more recent ones haven't been so good. Love the battle chocobos.

Yer the battle chocobos in the FMV's look quality.
But I hope they put a lot of emphesis on them, like what they did in IX, with Hot and Cold

looks class, the rendering of the chocobos on the new game is great. I was a bit upset when i realised there are no chocobos in FFVII:AC lol :(

According to Sakimoto, the Chocobo theme we all know and love will be re-used but with some suprises. So dont expect another FFX-2 where the Chocobo theme was....hahaha, you get the point. I am looking forward to the game and OST.

Yeah really? Ill have to watch it again and find it, but shame there is not one point in the film with a chocobo which is noticable

well...its kinda a need to have chocobos in an ff game. i don't think there was one without them?? I'm not 100% sure...but in this game, they look almost too real, and they're not cute anymore!

Chocobos were introduced in Final Fantasy II. The first Final Fantasy unfortunately did not have any.

The ordinary graphics are'nt as good as I thought they would be but the FMV looked really good
