Now, this is proving to be a very hard song to find. I had this demo disc that had Ehrgeiz on it, the intro music was pretty good but to my suprise it was changed when the game was released. I don't know if it's the same as the arcade version intro music or not.


The song starts off to what sounds like a Japanese instrument, can't put my finger on it though.

Meh, let me just say that the EHRGEIZ Original Soundtrack is pretty mediocre. The song you're asking for is definetly on the Soundtrack (most probably the arranged section). Keep looking.

I'm gonna double check again, I do hope I find it. And yes, I'll agree Ehrgeiz has a pretty bland lineup, but this one stands out. For me, at least.

Weird. Can you describe the demo disc you played the game on?

It had a few other demos on it, the one's I can remember are:

-Contender
-Cool Boarders 3
-Xena Warrior Princess
-Legend of Legaia
-Ridge Racer 4
-Elmo's Letter Adventure

I think that's all of 'em. It was a sampler from Toys R Us I got in the mail.

Okay, I read that a demo of Ehrgeiz+FF8 came with the Japanese Brave Fencer Musashiden.

I doubt anyone has that though.

Oh, apparently the song I want is embedded into the trailer, can't be extracted unfortunately.
