Hi!

Why are the soundtracks so anoying to download, because of the many different files you have to click on etc........
Can't you just put a soundtrack in one file so we can download that file and unzip it later.
It would be a lot easier for me.

Thanx

This is done so you can't leech massive amounts, and it puts less pressure on the server and bandwidth.

If you're using firefox, install the Fasterfox add-on and then in the settings set the max. persistent connections higher; say something like 20 (you need more and more RAM the more the higher you go)

Also install the location manager add-on so then you can automatically go through the folders like 20, 21, 22, etc.

Done, just set it going and you get the album in one click.

Out of curiosity, has she thought of making these into BitTorrent files instead? That way it would end up taking up less space on the Server and probably end up saving her some cash in the process?

Just a thought.....

Or you could pack everything into WinRar or something.

neither are going to happen, and they've been discussed multiple times. use the search feature if you want to know why.

Or, to get the complete Soundtrack easily, just buy the real thing.

because it's oh-so-easy to find rare, out of print soundtracks and gamerips to purchase from reliable places <3

Hmm? Is someone over exaggerating? Most people don't even bother to look for the Soundtracks in the first place, and since when is everybody searching for OSTs which are OOP and rare (don't you know A LOT of them are readily available)? A bit of a generalization, don't you think? Plus, there are plenty of reliable places to purchase from, and we are talking about Soundtracks not gamerips (as they are a different story).

Um... just out of curiosity, do MP3s compress well? I mean, if you zipped a bunch of MP3s how much space would you save?

Sarah

almost none.

mp3s are already compressed.
