I was a fan of the series for a long time, up until they released Resident Evil 4. I know I'm always talking about how great the game is, but I can't help it. It's the best game on the Gamecube right now, and probably the PS2 as well. Heck, if it was released for Xbox, it might even become the best game on that system too.

Yes it is the best game on Gamecube and PS2 and Resident Evil 5 soon to come on Xbox 360 and PS3 starts where Resident Evil 4 ends

it's good but it's doing the same thing as tomb raider.
It is releasing games all of the time and the quality is getting worse and worse
the originals on the playstation are by far the best

Tomb Raider went downhill after TR3 and never ever recovered from that.

RE had a dip with Nemesis and the gun survivor spinoffs but recovered with Veronica wich is pretty good and the awesome REmake and REzero only to reinvent itself with RE4.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Have you even played Resident Evil 4?

The 4th one wasn't really a horror game. Like resi 1 is far scaryer than 4

I've liked Resident Evil since I was 14, I've had all the games and completed every single one except the first one.. and I havn't managed to buy Resident Evil 4 yet..

My friends even made our own umbrella type company because we liked it that much!

Yeah, they are pretty awesome, I really like Resident Evil 4, Scared the shit out of me, which is pretty hard to do!

its a great combination of action/horror
the beginning lacks some scares yeh but from the moment the game gets to it first nightsection its pure horror to me and the first time i got to the sewers or bumped into a Regenerator it really showed what horror is

I think the fourth Resident Evil contains the best gameplay and the horror factor although reduced, it's still pretty scary at certain points of the game. The action is quite tense too. As for horror factor, i think Silent Hill is still far better. But overall... yup... i like the Resident Evil games a lot.

I'm a huge Resident Evil fan, behind the FF series it's my favourite series.

I love Silent Hill too, but there's a lot of Silent Hill threads on here, but not much talk about Resident Evil? How comes?

JohnnyMercyside, you've been here awhile now but I'm not sure if you've been told this... Don't revive old threads. Look at the date of the last post BEFORE posting. If it's older than 4-6 months, create a new thread. This one was last active on 12-13-2005 09:09 AM, almost 5 years ago.

If you want to discuss Resident Evil, create a new thread.

Haha sorry, I never knew that, one of the rules on another forum I go on does the opposite, to revive old threads. My bad. :)

I don't think it should matter how old the thread is, so long as you're making worthwhile contribution. But I agree, if it hasn't been active since '05, go straight up Leon on its ass and KEELL EET.
