I've begun work on my next big guide project --- a complete analysis of the themes of Final Fantasy X-2. This is what I have so far as a list of things I want to touch on:

changes
children
choices
duality
having fun
importance of music
not just the song
pressure
parents
power of love
recognition
responsibility

I just thought I'd post and ask if there's anything I'm leaving out that somebody thinks would be a good idea as a theme to explore.

Note: This thread is not for the haters --- if you don't like the game, then do. not. post. here. If you do, your post will be deleted.

You missed the big one: Memory.

Thanks, those are both good ideas! I'll be sure to add them in.

so what is this guide actually about, an in depth analysis of how the game identifies and deals with these themes in terms of the plot and characters?

Yes, I think you summed it up pretty well. An explanation of all the themes in context with the game, peppered with quotes and examples. It's going to be a massive project, so don't expect it anytime soon. Although I may release it in an incomplete form before finishing it.
