Since I live in Gympie and we have no GOOD game stores, I have only just discovered that there is a Warriors games, which is a game following the same story of the movie "The Warriors" for people who don't know. Since the game is all "hey i'm $97 buy me" i haven't bought it yet, but it is something i am very interested in. So, has anybody else played the game yet and thought it was worth buying?

Changed played to bought cos confusion.

You spent a hundred fucking dollars on a game without reading any reviews?

YOU'RE CRAZY.

...luckily, i've heard all good things. I get bored of R* games pretty quickly though, so I think i'll pass.

Haha, lol

I was gonna say, you dumped that much on a game, and didn't put it in your PS2 as soon as you got home?

I dunno, read IGN's reviews. If you think it's your style then pick it up - I just know that I get bored of GTA games pretty quickly.

Also Junon, when you can program a free-roaming world filled with characters and vehicles with no load times and 8 different radio stations, you can come complain to me about graphics. Sure, Half-Life 2 looks pretty, but you have to load every fucking 30 seconds :(

I've played quite abit of round a friends house, and I must say it is pretty damn great. The controls are pretty cool as well, example; if a cop has you on the ground and is trying to put 'cuffs on you, a bar will come up. This, you you have to fill faster than a smaller bar (just underneath the first bar) and you do this by trying to avoid making your controller vibrate by rotating the analog stick away from the vibration....just believe me it's pretty cool.

Okay guys, i just got it a few hours ago and i've been playing it a bit on and off, and i am both impressed and disappointed. I find the controlling so far has been pretty shit, and i don't expect it to improve any time through the game (this mosty just trying to control the character, but some of the commands just seem out of place to me, and it takes me a while to remember what was what. I had to brighten the screen on my tv just so i find my way through the alleys, and i've almost thrown the control in a fit of rage because i haven't been able to do a bloody combo. But, i think they have done a pretty good job with following the story while adding bits and pieces. Also, i find the mugging/moving the analogue stick away from the vibration type stuff pretty snazzy!

i've seen the commercials on tv. this game is confusing as fuck. (at least to me..)

whats the story? who are these poeple. based on the clothing is it early 70's late 60s? O_o or late 70's early 80's? looks very 70ish to me. so its based on a movie? what movie? never heard of it.

It's an alright game, but god damn is it shakily made in places. If you love the film you will love the film - trust me, it adds a lot knowing the material.

that statement was about as useful as the fortune teller in a link to the past

I meant love the film you will love the game. I'm not sharp. Not sharp like you.

It's a very generic game. Same old fighting we saw in urban chaos. Feels like Manhunt but with a warriors makeover, but a little less linear.

Some parts are hard as fuck, especially the fucking extra missions, like being chased by over 30 guys, having to kill 10, then 20, then finally 30 guys, all to finish one extra objective!
