Hey guys,

I was in the temple of the ancients, and had saved up great gospel for fighting the demon wall just before you exit the temple, but I was suprised to find that great gospel didn't last throughout the fight.

Maybe it was something the demonwall did, but after a while, which was longer then Earth protector lasts, it just stopped, so what's up with that??

On FFshrine in the FF7 section it says great gospel is supposed to give you invincibility throughout the rest of the fight, but appearently not.

Screw great gospel, I always used Meteorain and sattelite beam coupled with Aeriths limit break that gives you your limit break, that makes pretty short work of the demon wall. I actually have sweet FA to add as an answer mind you.

it's not like I had any problem with demon wall, I had yuffie's All creation, Clouds Meteorain and Tifa's limit's save the lvl 4 limit, and my characters were all lvl 42 or around, so it was toast within notime, but it was just something I noticed about her limit break.

It's been well known for years now that the effect of invincibility of Great Gospel only lasts for about thirty to forty seconds - it's not a permanent effect (most strategy guides freely mention that fact).

Technically, if it was permanent, there would be zero challenge to the game, as FFVII is already easy enough as it is (as it was, Demon Wall was tough the first time I faced him, but after building my characters up for a while and gaining Great Gospel, it was a pushover.).

Personally, although the invincibility was welcome, I used Great Gospel more for the HP and MP restoration. But that is probably just the White Mage in me talking...

I dont see the point of spending 10 hours getting Great Gospel as the stupid bitch dies shortly afterwards anyways

I never got Aerith past Seal Evil. She just was too weak and died too early.

Thre is an easier way for that.

I just put cover materia on her so that she'd take most of the attaks and thus having the most limit's.
Abd when needed to kill certain number of enemies, I just put the more powerfull summons on her and let het kill most of the enemies.

Works fine for all characters.

When I went to disc 2, I already had all creation enabled and limited moon as well. Gonna get omnislash now and catastrophe.
