Ok, this may seem like a dumb question and a useless thread, but this has bugged me since i discovered it.

In chapter 5, if you gained all the trust of the ronso, then on the fayth scar a statue of yuna has been built near the hot springs.

Is that a horn the ronso have put on her head or is it just my ps2 playing tricks on me?

I think its a horn cos in X the ronso say that they'll build a statue of yuna with a mighty horn and that it might also be a reference to FF IX where the people of madain sari could summon and also had horns.

I'd appreciate it if anyone could lend their thoughts on this and tell me if im right or wrong

I didn't notice any statue near the hot springs. Maybe I'll check it out again.

That is a horn and the statue develops more-and-more the longer you play in Chapter 5. Yes, they did say in the first game that they would build a statue of her with a horn its head. The possible FFIX reference I didn't pick up on --- that's good thinking.

Well, summoners do have horns…

FFIX summoners have horns. Other summoners don't necessarily have horns...

the statue only appears if the ronso completely trust you, whch depends on how you answered their questions in chapters 1 & 2, otherwise you just get a lump of stone on a pedestal in chapter 5

Hehe, this proves I need to pay more attention, that horn should have been huge, I played chapter 5 for about 30 hours.

Its honestly not even worth it you dont even get an added extra scene or anything like that, it just stands there and does nothing, unless you want 100% its not worth it

I just never looked, the statue was there, but I never noticed the horn lol

Now that's why I didn't see it. Jeez, I gotta answer the questions correct this time!

When I played it my first time, I'm pretty sure I saw a statue of Kimarhi.

There is a statue of kimahri near the top of the fayth scar with all the ronso gathered near it, but if you go to the hot springs and go right from the save sphere near the ledge where you climb up to the scar, there should either be a statue of yuna or a lump of rock on a pedestal, depending on the ronso stuff described earlier

Ohh...mine must've been a lump of rock because I never noticed it. This is probably a dumb question, but anyway. If you fight those three Ronso, will you see Yuna's statue or not?

Rude666

No but if you answer all the questions right it makes the battle against them easier

Agent0042

I'm pretty sure that in order to get the statue, you need to fight them. Otherwise, obviously, the Ronso go to war against the Guado and you're screwed. Oh, and if you answer all the questions (or most of them) correctly, there should only be Garik and one other Ronso there.

Rude666

Ow Yer you do have to fight them sorry but another point is that when the Ronso fight you (and you have answered the answers correctly) they dont use Attack movements they only do Defensive Spells like Shell so its a whole lot easier.
Am I right now Agent

Agent0042

I don't know --- I think they still attack, but the point is that normally Garik would have Mighty Guard, which he doesn't have if you did the questions right.

And didn't Garik only have one Ronso or none if you got the questions right?

Agent0042

It's one. I don't think you can ever get none, but answering the questions properly will cut it down to just one with him.

I was trying to say something like that

Ignominy
11-10-2005, 06:34 PM
Well, the first time I fought two. The second time I fought only one like you said, but I still don't remember the statue of Yuna. Of course, I may have stopped before I reached that point. I had played it so long that I got bored of it for a while, and I haven't played in about a month.

Rude666

Its impossible you cant just fight one Ronso. Look I will explain for the last time.
If you do crap on answering the questions you will face 3 Ronsos who will be tough to beat
If you get most or all questions right you will face 2 Ronsos who will do more defensive spells than attack so it is obviously a lot easier
Thats Final nothing else stands

What I think Ignominy meant is that he fought one additional Ronso besides Garik.
