I believe you'd liek.... need to buy HL2 to actually run it. :(

Buying Half-Life 2 is worth it, though. Especially since you can get it cheap at most places, and all the stuff (like GE:Source) makes it worth the purchase price.

That certainly does look neat!

I could certainly use a good HL2 mod right about now after the disappointment of Lost Coast running like shit on my computer. :(

Half-Life 2 itself runs shit on my computer.

Count yourself lucky :(

I spent more than I could afford when I built my computer so I wouldn't have to consider myself lucky.

Poor bastard. Apart from the water effects, HL2 runs perfect on my pc.

My video card is crappy now. Radeon 9200. It was top-notch when I got it though! And it still does all right for most games.

oh my GOSH!!! they're gonna try again. oh man i hope they make it this time. i still remember the failed project of the goldeneye hl1 mod. they did pretty good but wow. lots of bugs.

i was hyped then for the old mod and i'm hyped now. man i hope they make it perfect. i didn't really like the mod for hl1 cause the maps seemed bigger. like hallways. i was looking around and i was like..hey, this hallway ain't that wide...

and then guns had no recoil whatsoever. that was fun. :D

anyway. hl2 is so damn worth it. i baught the valve complete pack online from steam. it came with all this

hl2
hl2 lost coast when it comes out
hl1
hl1 source (not much diffrence actually. :()
hl blue shift
hl opposing force
counter strike
cs: source
cs: condition zero
day of defeat
dod: source
team fortress classic (best mod of them all :p)

and who knows what else. :p

i was pissed that i had to buy games that not long ago, i played for free, (tfc/cs/dod were all free mods to d/l) but now they charge for them. the old key i had was pirated to begin with so in order for me to get back in the game, i had to give in and become "honest" and pay real money. :( oh well. total was 80 bucks, and i think it was worth every penny now that i've completed hl2 and think it was the most satisfying game i've played in YEARS!!!

i ran mine under the following specs. if you have better specs than mine, then you should run it fine.

2.0 ghz amd sempron (3300+)
512 megs ram
128mb geforce4 mx 4000 PEECEEAII!!! (pci, this should tell you right away, both agp and pcie could easily perform better than mine) (i have no agp slot on this budget pc so i went with pci)

and yes. i said it. it is a budget pc. nothing is top of the line at all. i ran at 800x600 resolution with medium settings on almost everything. but no anti aliasing. and what i really hated is my vid card isn't dx9 compatible, (software yes but not hardware. i think i ran the game at dx7. objects dissapeared at such a close distance. it was sad. ) so i suffered a lot. but the game was still beatiful. i'm planning to buy a laptop from alienware and then playing it again with max settings on that. it'll be great. :D

ok. now i R sad. i can't play lost coast. :( i had a feeling after looking at those GORGEOUS SCREENSHOTS. oh man that was was like. omfg!!!

i need a gig of ram. (easy to fix)
and a 2.2 ghz cpu. (ok i should be able to do this cause mine can perform at 3300+)
i'm worried about the gpu. dammit. i can't believe i have a nondx9 capable card. :(
