Wow, you have a great sense of humour. Like whatever band you want as it has no bearing on me but don't tell me not to express an opinion you "miserable prick".

Btw tommytsk, how was the show?

zell hell yeah!

Im not the one with the warped sense of humour, calling me a swine was a right knee slapper! Whatever..

I don't consider the word swine to be warped in any way, so I doubt you actually know what it means.

Yeah the show was pretty good. Rise against had a pretty good set. It was far rougher than their recorded stuff.
Story of the Year sounded like absolute trash and were arrogant jackasses but they were a pretty good live act in terms of energy. They hit some backflips off amps and stuff, which impressed me since it was the actual bandmembers doing it not just some hired performers
Funeral for a Friend were mediocre
Killswitch Engage I enjoyed. I was sure I'd hate them oddly enough but he had a pretty primal scream on him.
The Used... I've never been a fan of the used, purely because they're whiny, but I guess for people who're into that style of music they're probably one of the better bands of that genre. They said some LAME shit between songs though. "Thank you so much Sydney for treating us like family!" and "Say it with me everyone! I promise to Satan that I will come to your next show!" - Imagine both those comments made in the whiniest teenager voice available.

So to sum it up there was alot of trash but I figure since I bought the ticket off a friend 30 bucks, that's a reasonable price to pay to see a good rise against gig alone, even if only for their half hour set. I also got a signed rise against album coverlet. :D

Awesome dude, Rise Against are indeed worth the 30bucks alone! lucky you! I really want to hear Give it all live, i just think it would be a really gd rush since its my fave Rise against song.

Instead of creating a new thread I figure I'll just slap it in here and say that last night I saw the Foo Fighters and Kaiser Chiefs.

The Foo's older stuff is pretty cool. But Kaiser Chiefs are mediocre at best, Britpop ended about a decade ago

I quite liked the kaiser chief's set. But then I've always liked britpot :P And the foo played much older gear. it was good lovin'. They played something like a 20 song set. it was ridiculous :o

I like the Kaiser Chiefs and One by One and the Foo Fighters' self titled album are both good, the Color and the Shape is extraordinarily overrated imo. Also, my friend had Kerrang magazine the other day and it had a review of the Taste of Chaos tour. It gave it 5 Ks. I laughed.

EDIT: In case anyone misinterprets this, I haven't forgotten about There's Nothing Left To Lose and In Your Honor, I just don't like to think about them, especially the former =(

Mossy, you need to take into account that the used were on the taste of chaos tour. the used make everyday a holidays yay!! <3 used.

Oh god, not a double post. yuck yuck yuck. whats worse is that you get to see the name 'the used' twice as much as is necessary

I like Britpop too, but I mean, Britpop IS dead. The Kaiser Chiefs are just a crap interpretation of it. Lets be honest Kaiser Chiefs hold nothing compared to...lets say....Blur.

I never really loved Albarns voice though. I think the Kaiser Chiefs sound just seems more powerful

Right, okay, I'm far too cained to get into any sort of mini-arguement here. So lets agree to disagree.
