OK...it seems to me that SCAN is slightly different in each game. Is this magic really useful? Does anyone use it on a regular basis?

Also, can you access the information you get from casting SCAN after you view the screen and leave it? In FFVIII, you could rotate the character scanned and flip through the weakness and stuff. In FFX, it appears you look at it once and then it's over. Do you have to keep re-casting?

It's just annoying because sometimes I can't exactly remember the stats and stuff.

If you ask me, Square-Enix needs to change things for future games (like let characters not in your active party do the scan...what are they standing around for anyway!)

It's only for infromative values, I hardly ever use scan magic in any FF game. It's mainly for the statistics hoggers.

The main reason i ever used scan, in FFVIII, was to view the character model. I`m interested in that kind of thing.

After you use Scan, the target remains in "San" status. While you can't view the detailed information, it will still show you their HP and elemental attributes like if you had Sensor equipped.

Same here thats why i used it in ten, the models are pretty cool, like the flan's. My hits do 99,999 so i really dont need to know there weaknesses.
