I tried to install FF7 on my windows xp, but i got an error message:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Mircrosoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Any help?

Do you have the XP patch for FFVII PC? If not, the game will almost definetely crash once you arrive at the Gold Saucer and try to play the Chocobo Race. It will only work once you've applied the patch to fix the glitch which causes it.

I'm not sure exactly where abouts you can download the XP patch though. Try Edios' website, as it may still be available there (Edios being the ones responsible for porting FFVII to the PC).
