Any future Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest Games will be released on all next-gen platforms rather than stay PlayStation
exclusives. Square Enix president Yoichi Wada believes the console war won't be completely dominated by one machine. As you can see, this means that all FF games and the like will be released on Xbox and PS3 and everything else of the next generation. Just thought you'd want to know.

In my opinion, this is bad. Because it shows Square's either greed or need. Other than that I think this is bad because I have always been loyal to PlayStation, and besides, all other FF games were on PS (aside from classics), so before now, FF has always seemed like a privelidge to me, but now it feels like it is not a privelidge or anything special, just a procedure for all people. In a way, it has broken part of me, because to me, FF has always been something unique and special, but now I am not as proud of it as I was.
Btw, it only breaks me a teeny-weeny itsy-bitsy yellow polka-dot bikini (sorry couldn't resist) titch bit. Because we do all love FF.

I feel sad because that means I have to buy the other consoles as well. >_<

Nonono! You got it wrong. Although Square are going to sell on other platforms, they are still gonna keep selling on PS2! Unless you meant something different which I misinterpreted.

I think she means: there are sometimes (more likely with big releases), some difference between the, say Xbox and PS2 versions. It may be a character, area, monster, or weapon.

Ye, perhaps. Although most games on different platforms stay faithful to each other, but you have a good point.

I would really like Final Fantasy to stay console specific, but I guess Sony has profits in mind.
