Okies after watching Advent Children a few times, i decided to play the game from start to end again. Currently just outside Junon for the first time and all my characters have both the level 2 limit breaks.

My problem is despite killing over 100 enemies with Cloud i can't seem to unlock Meteorain. Does anyone know if thiers a level restriction on the level 3 limits or if i have to be so far in the game before it's possible to get the level 3 limits.

You can get Meteorain while still in Midgar. In other words, I think that there is a level resrtiction. You may also have to kill a certain number of monsters berfore you can unlock it. But you do not have to be far in the game to unlock it. It just takes hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours of leveling and killing.

You need to kill about 256 enemies if my memory serves me right. Try that, then see if you get it.

Actually, it isn't all that much. Just give Cloud (or whoever) some strong materia, and fight in an area with weak monsters. Just kill a lot of them with magic like Bolt-All. 4-5 hours later you should have Meteorain. Not hard at all.

Piece of cake. 4-5 hrs of boring lvling up vs some sewer shits. Nice.

Just like how you can master eery summon in 8hrs by killing pots. Piece of cake. BORING piece of cake.

If you're only to Junon, you can still crack out the new limits by fighting Capparwires in the nearby forests. They come in groups of five and can easily be taken out with a single summoning of Choco-Mog. Contrary to what most people say, summons do count towards the quota that determines the next limit, so feel free to harness the time early on.

Thats how i used to level up the limit breaks exactly. Bolt all is just as good a way too. But the best way has to be if you've got the enemy skill matra magic from the custom sweepers outside midgar. Use that as it uses up less AP.
If you get short of supplies, go to fort condor and after you win the first battle there, you can buy items. Tents are great.

When in those forests you can also find Yuffie. Beat her and you can unlock her character. :) You have to answer her correctly after the fight and not turn your back on her though.
If you do unlock her steal a better weapon for her from the flying things in the forests (i think their called sonic's). Its her boomerang weapon and way better than her original one.

Hope that helps.

There's no reason to be overly conservative with the MP when you're fighting for more limits--Fort Condor is right around the corner and the beds are free.

Absolutly true. Leveling up early is the best idea.
