This is my first thread, I'm new here. This is a thread devoted to G-bike, the minigame found in the Golden Saucer. It's by far my favourite minigame in ff7, if not all of the series! G-bike is first introduced during the escape from Midgar, and later you can permanently play at the Saucer.
Game info: You have to protect the van from the Shrina motorcyclists, playing as Cloud. The more you kill in the track, the higher the score, but the more the van is attacked, the more points you will lose in the process. The track lasts roughly 4-6 minutes. Square or O attacks either side, D-pad moves. Yellow enemies: 500 points. Red enemies: 1000 points.
Tips/Tricks for getting highscores: -First, make sure you are nearest the back of the road, so you can hit all the enemies as soon as they arrive.
-When up against a combination of red enemies and yellow, always go for the yellow guys first.
-To kill the red enemies, who are very difficult to hit, push them to either side of the road until they can't move at all and then attack.
-Set a number of swings you must usually take to hit an enemy that is suited to your level of skill. I personally try within three swings.
-Do not let any enemy pass you! Try to hit them before they can. If they do, move with your D-pad quickly.
-If you have multiple red enemies, time is of the essence! Try to use the pinning-to-the-side trick as quickly as possible.
-Even the best G-bike players get some points lost at the van. Keep your reflexes high and do not get discouraged by a few point losses.
-Occasionally you can knock over extra enemies as you hit down one. While this is useful in a time of crisis, beware: you don't get full points for the extra guys you knock, only the first.

-Try to limit up-down movement and focus on left-right movement.

My personal best score: 24000 points.

If you have scores to boast of, more tips/tricks to share, or questions about this minigame, please post them here.

1.) The minigame gets old after the 3rd or 4th time you play it (because of the complete and utter uslessness).
2.) My High Score was around 20000, I think.
3.) Do not stay at the back road. If one or two enemies get past you, then all of your "hard work" is for nothing.
4.) Stay at the van and guard it at all times possible.
5.) Just a tip: DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, knock down a bke in front of the van. I lost 300 points that way, and you could too.

I forget my top scores but i found the bike game to be very enjoyable. That`s another aspect of FFVII i would love to see put onto a mobile phone or even updated. Great mini-game imo.

Yeah, same with me. I forgot to mention that one.
