Ahhhh final fantasy X, great game...But did anyone else find the battles a little too easy? I found no battles hard until now. I'm at the zanarkand ruins or going up some snowy mountains to reach it. (Forgets) And I've finally ran into my first battle that I can't beat, another one of seymours forms.
But did anyone else find the battles a little too easy?

Yeah, most of the battles were fairly easy, except Seymour Flux (The one you're facing now. Auto-Med/Auto-Phoenix Combination in the armour works brilliantly) and Yunalesca (Same tactics again, or inflict yourself with Zombie before she uses her MegaDeath attack, can't remember the name but it kills all your characters unless you have deathproof in the armour and/or one of your characters is Zombified).

I`ve recently gotten into and find that the battles are pretty easy. But i chalk it down to the ability to choose "the best person for the job" in mid-battle which can`t really be a fault.

I found Seymour Flux, the only boss that gave me a hard time, i never had problems with Yunalesca since i zombified myself, without being the storyline bosses, The Dark Aeons, Penance and the Battle Arena Guys were pretty hard

Most of them were easy, but Penance and the monster arena guys were VERY HARD. Seymour Flux was easy. I found Seymour in the temple hard
(although i hadn't put enough time into my sphere grid at this point).

They seem to hand-hold you through most of it, and the ability to switch characters in battle makes it absurdly simple. Although Seymore Flux is a bit difficult.

I didn't personally like how they took out the levelling up system. I think they should have perhaps made the sphere grid a kind of bonus deal, where you can do it IN ADDITION to levelling up. One problem was that you could give any ability to anyone, like giving Ultima to Yuna. That was pretty cheap. But what I think really made the battles easier was the removal of the ATB system. If you have an infinite amount of time to decide what to do, then it really makes the battles easier. That combined with the fact that switching characters in and out was completely instantaneous. I think it was a clever idea, and it also kept from making main characters into, for all practical intents and purposes, NPCs, but they were using it for the first time, so they made it a little too easy.

when you arent really prepared, overdrive sin can be a bitch as well, once that move hits its game over even if it hits an aeon.

Beat seymour, ummm now in the zanarkand trials or whatever. And I was just about to fight it when I had to turn the ps2 off.I better be able to beat it, i dunno if I can turn back coz I saved inside. Also in mount gagazet trials i could't get to 2 chest in the water. Does that mean i cant get the extra aeons??? And can I go back and get them later once I have the airship.

I think the Chest's in Gagazet aren't needed, you just have to use the destruction spheres

Yes you can go back, it only matters when it comes to Anima though, YoJo you pay for and after you get those to you go get the sisters. If you forgot or miss any of the chest's be sure to write it down because its a bitch to try and remember which one's you forgot, it doesnt tell you,(you have to activate the 6 spears in the temple, 3 spears you can tell what temple there from, lightning/fire/ice, but the others you cant tell what they are) its really not fun to go back finish the trial to learn you already had that chest.

Omega is the easiest boss in the game, no one dies on him.

As for Flux, Overdrive. In fact, if you ever have any trouble with a boss just overdrive it until it dies. Overdrives are nthe key to winning any battle.

I conqur. I have not played 11, but i hope 12's system will be the same. I loved the grid too, you feel like your accomplishing something when leveling up...Great.

In my opinion, all the battles are okay, except for Nemesis. It took me three days to beat that bastard.

personally, still stuck on seymour flux. need to get some auto med or anti zombie armour, and some general levelling up. must remember to poison the bastard too. poison fecking rules on this game.

When I played, I spent time just leveling up, and my party was stacked, so I just cruised until I got to the Monster Arena, then I started having real troubles

Isn't 12's system going to be different? Won't you be free to move around in battles? (a la Kingdom Hearts)

That is the rumour, but there will be a limit to how much you can move and where you can move.

I beat yunalseca. All three forms without having death protection or anything like that. Only took me two tries.
