Try CDJapan (www.cdjapan.co.jp)

Most OST found on eBay, Half.com, and on some ocasions, Amazon.com, are bootlegs. In fact, 98% of OSTs found on eBay are bootlegs.

Not always. I got both the official Polydor/NTT Publishing release of FFVI The Grand Finale and the Digicube FFI&II Original Soundtrack through eBay Australia, which are not bootlegs. Still, I guess I was just lucky..

Anyway, www.gamemusic.com only sells official CDs, although they can be quite pricey compared with other sites. Plus, they tend to sell out of items rather qucikly, qlthough they do holds in case an item is out of stock which they can reorder.

Luck you! What year did you get them?

I just want to add that CocoeBiz (www.cocoebiz.com) and their sales website VGMWorld (www.vgmworld.com) are the best places to buy VGM. Why? Because you're supporting the composers (Mitsuda, Ito, Sakimoto, Iwata, Hayama, Saso, Hosoe, Iwadare, Namiki, and Sakuraba) themselves, plus, you're doing business with a true VGM fan, Kahori. Her prices are the best, only rivaled by CDJapan. Her stock may not be what a normal FF fanboy wants, but all of her products are quality, and its quality that counts. What are you waiting for? Buy from her now!

About a year and a half ago if I remember correctly. It's been a while though. Generally, sellers who are selling legitimate soundtrack CDs will readily mention that fact, as they can get in trouble with eBay for false advertising if they mention it's legit in the item description but are in fact selling bootlegs. The two above CDs both mentioned they were legit in the descriptions, so naturally I grabbed them.

But, when making purchases online anywhere, you really should heed what eBay calls caveat emptor - 'let the buyer beware'. As you never know for sure what you're actually spending your hard-earned money on is real or fake until you actually unwrap it.

I got my VIII (and VII) soundtrack at YesAsia.com (http://www.yesasia.com). It was an authentic reissue, and I do believe they ship worldwide. ^_^ I've gotten other CDs and such there before as well, their shipping system can be a bit odd at times, but everything always comes timely and in one piece, so I'd recommend them. Plus, everything's authentic. o_o
