Because I'd love to know if anyone agreed that doing so would cheapen the whole experience.
Personally I would much prefer to wait until it comes out on DVD (and for me thats a while yet), pay good money for a copy and sit down in front of my tv in the comfort of my living room rather than at my pc and watch it how it is supposed to be seen.

But believe me I was tempted to download it.

i think if you really want to see it it's pretty silly not to download it. you can even fit it on a vcd/ dvd if you're like desperate for the FRONT ROOM experience and buy it later.

I am not going to download it, I am waiting for the official release on DVD and UMD to come to Europe.

I never downloaded it, I suppose I just want a full edition with THX/dolby sound and special features rather than some choppy interlaced Avi with incorrect subtitles, besides i cannot get WMP to decode AC3 properly for the surround. I have read the script in desperation which cheaped out the experience, however having a shiny new box and a superbit encoded film with menus makes it all the more worth the while - I am an experience person rather than just the core visuals and script.

I just had to download it because in ireland its not goin to be out ifo rsoooo long, and i just couldnt wait, but i will buy it as soon as its out and go cinema to see it as many times as possible OMG its soooo good i cant believe it, its not what i was expecting and its just a great idea the way it goes forward after ff7 game, so good! :)

Well, the earliest i would get it (without downloading) is to use ebay to get a copy of the North American version. Assuming people don't bump up the price too much, i'm not desperate.

Burning to a dvd or vcd is never going to be the same as watching the official released version no matter how good the quality is. Of course some of you guys don't mind as long as you get to see it. Morally I could never do that.

yeah, i can feel the death of the film industry coming about when one hundred thousand fankids (at an absolutely megahuge estimate) download a film at least half of them will buy regardless 3 months later.

Hell I downloaded it I'm not waiting ages to see it but I'm going to buy it cause I'm a fan and fans are the ones that downloaded it and I'm sure most of the fans that have seen it will buy it. Dedicated to the cause.

I couldn't download it. *starts sobbing* *sniff* My laptop didn't come with a compressor. My friend downloaded it for me, onto a disc, but it was comperssed. I can hear the sounds and the voices, but there was no picture. *sobbs*
