Personally, I prefer Cloud and Tifa. The childhood friendship just gets me for some reason. Even though Tifa has her flaws, I like her. She is nice and always encourages everyone around her.

I was really saddened by Aeris' death, don't get me wrong. If she hadn't died, Cloud would've ended up with Aeris. But then again, who Cloud likes is to a degree the player's choice.

(WARNING: possible spoilers) So I'm pretty split. I've seen FFVII AC! It confuses me even more now. He is constantly having images of Aeris but his feeling is more of guilt than of loss. At one stage, he even called her "Mother"! So fingers crossed for Square continuing the FFVII saga because the movie was sooooooo good and I honestly want to see him marry Tifa. :D (personally, I think it's inevitable with Aeris dead)

Of course, Cloud and Aerith are a great couple, but Tifa is soooo much hoter than Aerith.

My comparison: Aeris is a Cetra. Tifa is human. Aeris is like an angel. Tifa has her flaws (but she's the funny one: "Barret, would you stop acting like a retard...", what she said was harsh, yes but I don't think she said anything harsh to Cloud). In terms of looks, well, it depends on your tastes, so I say they're pretty even, although I have a friend who called Tifa a slut! I gave him a hiding for that. Tifa does dress in a way that shows more of herself, I admit. Aeris is also more open with her feelings, which is vital in a relationship but I feel sorry for Tifa because she had feelings for Cloud for a long time.

Aeris opened Cloud up but Tifa helped him through the part when they were in the lifestream.

Btw- what happens with Aeris on the date, I've only been on a date with Tifa and can't be bothered going over it again.

I have voted, and I voted for Cloud and Tifa. Aeris is not Cloud's type; Cloud's type is the kind of woman who will take care of him, because he needs it, believe me. And that woman is Tifa. Childhood stuff aside, she stayed with him when he was sick and retarded after the Mako poisoning. That impressed me, to say the least. Aeris needs to much "taking care of" for her and Cloud to be together. JMO

As I've mentioned in older/ancient threads, I've always and will prefer Cloud and Tifa. My reasons are about how long they've known eachother and how similar they are as far as personality goes. One major thing they seem to have in common is that both of the characters seem to think deeply about life, but they won't always talk about everything they're thinking about.

I don't dislike Aerith though and I'll always like both Tifa and Aerith. I'm just forever a Tifa and Cloud supporter (I won't deny I'll always be a C & T fangirl :P).

I say just fuck Tifa, Aeris, and Yuffie and then hire Sephiroth to kill them off in case they try to become attached or some shit.

For some reason, I think that Aeris x Cloud are a much better couple than Tifa x Cloud.
