Tidus was really Cloud from FF VII in disguise, at the end of the game you find out Cloud or "Tidus" just needed a vacation so he rode his bike all the way to Zanarkand because he heard of the sport Blitzball, and he really wanted to check it out. Well, Clould or "Tidus" have you, being such a strong dude found he was one hell of a player so he took it up. He made it to the big times and thats where X starts.....Crazy world huh?

lol. Orr of course he could be a dream of the Faith, as all of his world is. Either way the story is kinda choppy.

What? Now where's the sense in that?

Just pay attention to the storyline. Or at least that's what I got out of it. Tidus' world is a dream of the Faith, and Yuna's world is the true world 2000 years later. Like I said though, it's kinda choppy. Or so I think.

It's not choppy at all. The game explains everything pretty thoroughly, especially if you listen to Maechen's stories.

You musn't have paid attention playing.....he was a dream of the fayth....and was real once...like thousands of years ago....thats what I got....

Then you got the wrong thing out of it. There was never another Tidus who lived a thousand years earlier. The dream Zanarkand was a living, breathing world created by the fayth, not a carbon copy replica of a certain time period.

(I can't believe I'm replying to a FF thread. How the mighty have fallen.)

Titus did exist as a earler verison of shyuin i think, then zanarkand was detroyed by Beaville in the war, and to keep zanarkand alive the fayth dream it wich created sin.

No connection between Tidus and Shuyin was ever confirmed, so their similarity might easily have just been coincidental.

Also, your spelling is awful. =/

Tidus was a sucky character. His voice was annoying and he always wined. At the end of the game you find that he was dead the whole time and he was merely dreamed into the real world by the Fayth along with other characters. No wonder his sword slashes were so weak..

Tidus is part of the dream Zanarkand created by the Fayth, where he became famous as a Blitzball player like his father, Jecht. Then he's taken to the real world, where he meets Yuna, Lulu, Wakka, Kimahri and Rikku, he of course, already knew Auron.

There isn't really much known about Tidus' background from stuff I've read about the game.

Of course you do. Because that's the part of it that everyone already knows, regardless of their comprehension skills. =/

I am sorry to say this but...
What Aload Of Crap!!!
You could of come up with something a bit more beliveable I wouldnt of belived this even if it was in the manual.

I you would think yuna would have realised that something wasn't right about shujin.

Yeah, err, I could be wrong but... I sorta think that was meant as a joke.

come on people give James Arnold Taylor a break. tidus' voice isn't that bad and its obvious that boba_medina2000 is just joking.

Anyway, Tidus is a dream of the fayth. Whether or not he actually exsisted is unknown. The world of Zanakand is an exact replica however. Jecht may also not have exsisted, since no one knew about the Jecht shot. how the fayth dream is up for debate since they are dead.
