Is anyone besides me thrilled about the inexpensive anime DVD box sets we've been seeing lately? It's given me the opportunity to catch up on several series that I missed
Aside from being priced affordably, these things also come with some pretty awesome extras occasionally. My Irresponsible Captain Tylor set came packed with extra stuff, like two bonus discs full of interviews and behind-the-scenes stuff, a cd soundtrack, a novella set after the show, and a 64 page booklet with all kinds of neat info. Then again, the bare-bones sets tend to be priced so low that you can get an entire series for just barely more than a single disc of a new show.
