The first time through I thought Cloud was a clone of Sephiroth. But he doesn't look anything like Sephiroth or any of the other clones. How was Cloud created?

I always thought he was planted with Jenova cells and created that way?

I remember that Tifa and Cloud were in the lifestream. And they find out all of clouds memories weren't false. So was Cloud injected with Jenova cells for a clone experiment?

Most of them were just confused because he had switched places with Zack. But Cloud was definantly injected with Jenova cells because he was supposed to be as strong as Sephiroth. Hojo did do that, as far as I can recall.

I think he was created. Somehow I always had a feeling that he did actually have a mother. He had too, or else most of his childhood memories with Tifa would have been somewhat false. Im thinking he was injected with the Jenova cells after he went to ShinRa.

Then all those memories that he had switched with Zack occurred from the Mako Poisioning...Zack would speak of his memories and Cloud would interpret them as his own when he awakens afterwards (Im just drawing this from the little you scene you see in ShinRa mansion when you go near the tanks...)

OK. So I was right somewhat, with Cloud being injected with the Jenova cells afterwards. Cloud is a mal-functioning prototype of Sephiroth.

What i got from FFVII was that Cloud wasn`t a clone. Cloud was only injected with Jenova cells to enhance his capabilities in Soldier. So, Cloud born from natural means grew up, joined soldier, met Zack, was tested on with cells, escaped with Zack, felt guilty for Zacks death, and inadvertently "took" Zacks identity. So Cloud thought he was a direct clone because Zack was, and Cloud "took" his indentity thereby thinking he was a clone. ..... *phew*


Also, if Cloud was a direct clone, it would make no sense, it would almost be like the ending of Bladerunner but less meaningfull.

First time I played it through I thought he was artificially made, because when he reflects on his past at kalm he is imagining it and also Jenovah tells him that he is just a puppet. Now the question is who are his parents and what else is Square not telling us.

Cloud will never know his parents. And that`s another aspect of his life that is missing which just adds to Clouds very uncertain and lonely nature. But it seems, in AC Cloud will finnaly be given absolution. A chance to break away from the past, and Sephiroth.

Don't you think not knowing all the answers to FF7 is part of what makes it that great? Most RPGs don't have stories that are this complex, except maybe xenogears.

I agree that FF7 had one of the best storylines of all RPGs. Otherwise it wouldn't still be talked about on this scale. It just wasn't that complex of a storyline.

The biggest percentage of them were arpund 800 pages long. I have a LARGE vocabulary, I just choose not to use it because less intelligent people (A.K.A Prak) wouldn't understand me.

I wouldn`t exactly say that. Like Prak said, only n00bs don`t like him. But the vast percentage, including myself, think Prak is one of our best members. So i wouldn`t exactly say "everyone" dislikes him.
