How exactly did Red XIII have offspring?!

I mean... he was the only one left after all. And 500 years later he has... pups!

i don't recall seeing any red XIII threads on this page anyways. Let the people discuss it. This isn't spam anyways, so I don't think it's necessary to have closed this so soon.

As for the offspring, I mean, there's a lot of different theories we could all go by for this. The ending of ff7 left a lot of questions unanswered. I don't directly recall the ending cuz it's been so long since i played it, but I think it's because of Bugenhagen, but I'm not really sure.

I'm sure there may be others of Red's spesices.
Especially after 500 years, anything could have happend.

Maybe it was some other kind of animal of a different species! Nah j/k. hmm...this is very strange. There must have been some lady RedXIII out in the world that noone knew about.

I remember Bugenhagen saying that Red XIII was the descendant of the guardians of Cosmo Canyon, but I can't remember whether or not Bugenhagen said Red XIII was the last of his kind or not.

What I'm going to write here is pure speculation, so don't read any truth into it whatsoever.

Lifestream and Mako are the same thing, and the planet was all but engulfed in Mako when it moved to counter Meteor. It's possible that something might have mutated into whatever Red XIII is and became his soul mate. (Remember that Mako was used to create the monsters in the Nibelheim reactor.) Being exposed to Mako may have had the same effect on one of the creatures and altered it.

Or it could just be something as simple as Bugenhagen was waiting for Red XIII to fulfil his destiny in saving the planet before revealing to him that he has a soul mate.

I think Square deliberately left this unanswered to fuel this sort of conversation.

I dont really know, i think i created a thread about that but i dont really understand it myself, i dont understand it, maybe they did it so you could think on it for no reason at all.

Bugenhagen segests in some part of the game that red is not the last of his kind but I don't remember when it was

Anyone really know why hojo had nanaki / redxiii in that lab??

Maybe hojo wanted to make more of his kind and being that nanaki was the only one alive or to be found so to say that hojo found a way to inseminate him , no one knows for sure but thats just one way i look at it i could be extreamly wrong or extreamly right.

And A-Sexual is possible, also there is one other possible thing its a fantasy world what if his kind were different then normal animals of our world...and the males gave birth..and who the hell knows its for us to talk about.

i think this could of happened 1 of 3 ways

a. red is asexual

b. they inserted his sperm in to a regular tiger then out popped new reds. (this really works... zoos do this with endangered spices such as rhinos and tigers when they dont have a mate to work with)

c they unpetrified his father or what ever

1) Red displays all the characteristics of a mammal, and mammals are not asexual. on the other hand, the world of FF7 isn't meant to be real, so he could be an asexual mammal? kinda weird. if there are any biology experts here, mebbe they can shed sum light :D

2) i agree with that one...but who inserted the sperm? Shinra?

3) wouldn't that mean Red would have homosexual incest with his father :confused:

in my opinion, i reckon the stalk (or wotever that bird is) came and delivered his kids :rolleyes:

I thought Bugenhagen died just before he gave Nanaki his ultimate weapon so how could he if he was dead. (not 100% sure)

well not in the game but ff7 ending is one that is left wide open for intrepratation so you amy not think that she could come back but that is how you see what happens. I am not saying that you are wrong and I am right or visa versa this is a game with more then one posible outcome it jsut depends on how you look at it.

Did anyone notice the lack of humans at the end. I believe that only the ancients could survive in the lifestream (which kinda gushed out a bit at the end) That means that maybe people would have to become ancients, after all, all souls are in the lifestream so they could take over bodies of humans making them ancients, thus producing a mate for Nanaki and the lack of humans.

Maybe he was the last surviver because he was the joungest,he says in the story he is just a kid.Maybe his species lives that long...
