i have no clue what it is but at the beginning of the game when Sin is destroying Zanarkand, he holds up his bottle and pyrfly type things come out... also during his tornado overdrive he throws it into the tornado and it lights on fire

Well, we've seen glitches from Square before, haven't we? Anyway, sure, the ronin theory could be totally wrong, but I like the thought of Auron being a ronin.

As we see in the opening sequence at Zanarkand, Auron releases something from his bottle, to me, I've always thought water, as later on in the scene, Sin starts sucking everything, including water in, hence the floating droplets when Auron steps in the puddle, though Dark~Auron's theory is also very plausible.

Well if it's not alcohol it must be something flamable, and I don't think there's any kerosene in Spira. Alcohol makes the most sense, not only is he drinking this stuff, but he's blowing people up with it. I could name a lot of flamable liquids, but alcohol is the only one you'd want to drink.

I think he keeps dead fiend in there, which explains the pyreflies. then the fiend is covered in tasty bacon fat so auron can actually drink from it.

On his right hip, he carries a jug with the word "Nog" written on it (in Spiran script), a term used to describe a number of beverages including rum. The drink is featured in two of his overdrives: the contents being spat onto his sword prior to executing Banishing Blade, or used to ignite the Tornado attack; the former likely pays homage to Japanese samurai, who would occasionally spit sake on their blades in order to "feed the spirit of the blade."

As for the Ronin theory, why did Auron wear his arm outside of his sleeve while Braska was still around, as in the spheres we see of him? I'd rather think Auron's 'master' would be whoever trained him to be so godly with a sword.

I don't know if this has been disclosed or solved yet, so I'll just throw out my two cents.

Auron's character is based off of the Japanese ronin, which were masterless samurai that wandered around (because being a samurai means that you serve/protect a lord or a master, thus no need to wander if you're a samurai). Both ronin and samurai were known to rest their "fight" arm in their kimono, just as Auron does.

Ronin also carried a bottle of sake with them most of the time. Sake, being alcoholic, is flammable, thus the reason it explodes in the overdrive Tornado or when he spits dark fire-like matter in the overdrive Banishing Blade.

GT I know you have onlly seen the post here so I will explain myself. You see I first joined and posted my first post not but 2 days or so ago on FFXII critque page. I said what I felt was Bad and good on the game and adressed some of the problems others expressed. Prak came back with while I like the game I am going around in circles. I naturally since I have beaten the game though at the time I hadn't was just very close affronted that someone who gave up after what amounts to 30 minutes of plot in the game was telling me what is true about the game. I reacted Badly I will admit but Prak made it his mission to reguarly slam me on a personal note or at least that is what it felt like to me. I tried to reason with him he refused my logic and claimed I was a moron and that I was endangering everyones opnion of me. As you can see he continues I find I am tired of hearing his untrue words I reguarly answer questions for people like Agent Bene and so forth and they responed back and while disagree with me or find errors with my words they don't see me as an idiot worthy of nothing more then contempt like Prak seems to think of me. So it is not running but rather me just not willing to slam my head into a wall with no hope of change if I thought there was I would continue but I don't think it amount to anything so why bother. As for my Spelling and grammer if there was a spellcheck on forum I would use it seeing as there is not you gents get Raw.
