And, for the match, they aren't really as good as people seem to think. I didn't beat them first time around, but the second time I kicked their sorry little arses. It's really all about tactics and common sense.

I never beat the luca goers the first time through on FFX, so i don't know how. Maybe luck?

First put movement on manual.Pass around making sure your not near any of their players cause if you get tackled they will probably score.You need to get the ball to Tidus so swim close to the midfielder and one of the backs then turn around as they start to follow you.Now pass to Tidus and use Jecht shot.Thats 1-0.Try and get the ball again and waste time passing or score again.I won 3-0 I think.

I lost 1-0 in Luca the first time I met them

But I since I have meaten them 4-1 and 2-0

All you need is the Jecht shot really. Just keep luring people away from Tidus using Jassu (or someone with a better pass @ that point) and then pass it to Tidus (I believe he was left field for me) and then get Tidus right next to the goal. Use the Jecht shot, and you'll be fine.

All you need to do is use the Jecht Shot to score one goal. After that, once you have the ball just go hide behind your goalie and the other players just start swimming around and around in circles. I have no idea why this happens, it just does.

I tisn't hard. Keep Tidus up front and pass the ball to him when he's close to the goal. Get at least 2 shots in the first half. Then play defense for the rest of the game. My top score is 5-2.

If you couldn't get Jecht Shot, or can't pull it off for some reason, Wakka can score too --- I've done it a few times before. Of course, there's always an element of luck, so you definitely save before going into it.

You dont need to beat them, so dont bother.

withthedawn is right... you don't have to beat them but it gives you a certain feeling of accomplishment... haha. to beat them you just gotta pound them with Tidus and Wakka when he gets into the game. my best score is 5-1 and a buddy of mine won 8-1

How can you win 2-0 or 3-0. When I'm playing theu start with the ball and score. and i can't do anyhting to stop it...they always get a goal to start with.

Put the movement manual, then start going to your own goalie the adversary's will stop marking Tidus and the others so you can pass the ball to them and gain advantage, then go to the goers goalie and when your Right in front on him shoot! Do this everytime, and you'll win!

You don't need the Jecht Shot. When I beat them, Tidus did absolutely nothing for me. It was the first time I had played FF in about a year and a half, and I forgot the controls, but when Wakka came in, I scored twice with him in the last couple of minutes and I ended up winning 2-0. I think the only thing you get for winning is a little extra experience, and the scene is a little bit different after you win and Seymour saves everyone.
