Okay, here's the thing.
I'm at the point where I have to assassinate the scorsseress. Forgive me if my English isn't as good as I would like to.
Anyway, I go to the scorseress with Rinoa and then I get the little movie of the scors and suddenly I get an error and it shuts down to desktop.
Anybody having the same problems?
Oh yea, I use the PC version.

What does the error say? In English?

If it's a memory problem, it means your ram has ran out. If its a fatal error, theres an error in the coding and you should contact squaresoft or eidos.

Okay I'm trying to translate this as good as possible:

In FF8.exe an error has occured and needs to be closed down. We apologize for the inconvience

You were busy with something. (cant translate this part). All data will be lost.

and than a message saying Microsoft has created an error report and I should send it to them.

Make sure the drivers for your graphic and sound cards are up to date. Also check the disc for smudges or scratches. If it still gives an error after all that, reinstall the program. This is all very standard stuff that anyone using a computer should know...

If uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work, or the drivers, it will definatly be a program error. Contact whoever sold you the game and tell them what's going on. Some stores will replace it if you got it recently.

Your english is pretty good, don't worrry about it.

the same thing happened to me before as well. :( it's a shame you had to start the game all over again. don't u have a playstation? so there'll be less problems?

you wont have to start all over, just backup your save game file, it should be in the save directory wherever you installed the game
