well i was wondering if the good people of ffs could recommend me or anyone some music. so basically you just post a band or singer that you would recommend to listen to. just a way to spread music amongst others. well i would recommend listening to lazybone. they're like a korean ska/ punk band. they're pretty good as well. their website is currently down and only in korean so i figured what's the point of posting it. but they do have a myspace, which is located in my sig.

Since I have a song of theirs uploaded already, I'm going to go ahead and recommend Mates of State. They're hard to describe because their style changes so much, but they're a lot of fun.

You can listen to a song here. (http://www.everything-paris.com/Mates%20of%20State-Ha%20Ha.mp3)

Yeah, what rezo said. I already had heard a few other songs by them and that song confirmed that I really like them. I will probably buy some stuff by them when I get a new job and start actively music-collecting again.

Also, you should check out Read Yellow because they are awesome and they put on the greatest live show you'll ever see. They are super friendly and fun to talk to and they'll make you a customized T-shirt for five bucks. Listen, love, and GO SEE THEM PLAY.

I think anyone could find something interesting in Dream Theater. They have it all.

Dream Theater is the best! I was planning on recommending them in this thread but you already did that.. There songs are long and mostly instrumental but John Petrucci makes the instrumentals so good that it hardly needs much singing..

RAP: Brotha Lynch Hung, great hardcore rapper, hes really big...sort of, stays underground, he raps about some pretty twisted shit, find the cd "Season of da Siccness", its my all time Fav cd. Woodie is a rapper from the East Bay of Ca, hes a good dude.

Rock: System of a Down's new cd is fucking great. Greendays new one is good, Older Metallica,

Classic Rock: Anything Led Zepplien. IMO best band of all time. CCR, Cream, Beatles, Tom Petty, Steve Miller, Eric Clapton, The Yardbirds, The Doors, Ozzy,

Raggae: Carl Henery (great artist from Canada) Of corse Bob Marley, Sangie Davis. Jah Stoney,

Radiohead, The Flaming Lips, Queens of the Stone Age, The Arcade Fire and REM are all great. I've tried to keep my suggestions from being too heavy as I'm don't know what music you already like
