I like dagger becuase she is capable of more summons andshe just plain kicks ass!!!

I say Dagger because she is a more dramatic character to the game and by far less annoying.

i have 2 admitt, that terra homing thing is good.. (one of eikos summons).. but she really annoyied me... dagga/garnet rocks!

Dagger! Dagger/Garnet rules! Dagger is my favorite character. Garnet is my favorite character. Dagger/Garnet is my favorite. Dagger has a great personality and a great story.

I find Eiko's Trance is a lot more useful than Dagger's and her Summons, regardless that there's only 1 to 2 of Dagger's, are far more useful (without having to get a Pumice or 100 Garnets). And, of course, her superior White Magic.

Eiko's Phoenix and Madeen are way better than most of Dagger's summons, also better magic

Let's see:

- Eiko can cast Haste, Dagger can not.

- Eiko can cast Regen, Dagger can not.

- Eiko can cast Full-Life, Dagger can not.

- Eiko can cast Holy, Dagger can not.


Anyone notice that it's Eiko that gets all of the good white magic? Also, IMHO, Ark was nothing all that special and isn't really worth the time. You get Terra Homing a lot earlier. And Dagger is more the deep, serious type, which doesn't really work for me. Eiko is perky, fun, also provides some good comic relief at times and yet at many points is also take-charge kind-of girl. Of course, she has issues too, so she's not just for entertainment. Oh, and I don't see Eiko's commands randomly failing and her not being able to use her Trance (which, BTW, totally rocks, double-cast Curaga/Holy or Holy/Holy is awesome!)


P.S. --- All of this isn't necessarily to say that I dislike Dagger because I don't, but I definitely go in more for Eiko.

Dagger. Eiko's annoying although she has better abilities as what Agent004 said. Also, dagger cos <3 Shiva and Bahamut.

Ability-wise, the better summoner should be Garnet, and it's quite self explanatory: If we translate their Job Abilities in FFT you'll see their quite different:
Garnet/Sarah/Dagger:
Summoner w/White Magic
Trance: Summoner Based
Eiko:
White Mage w/ Summoning Magic
Trance: White Mage/Priest Based

And Eikos just how many years old, I bet she has potential, but not now... Garnet is older and has more powerful Eidolons.

Actually, it's more like this:

Garnet/Dagger --- Semi-White Mage without most of the good stuff, Summoner who can't even summon anything really good until a little ways into the third disc and then she can't even Trance and her commands fail half the time until later on


Eiko --- Powerful White Mage with the best white magic, plus pretty good summoning capabilities to boot

My Dagger's command's failed all the time and the Eidolons never did any good damage, Eiko's Phoenix i used time and time again to survive against certain bosses, Eiko is better than Dagger

I think dagger is better because of her summining i had everyone with auto regen so it wasnt a problem and ark made it better for auto regen so most of my health was up before the sequence ended

Eiko has better white magic and adaptable summons, which are usually superior to summons that do damage less than or equal to one of the fighters' physical attacks/skills. If only she had Atomos...

Summon wise - Dagger
Entertainment wise - Eiko

Personally I like Eiko more.

Definitely Eiko...Dagger is too serious and undependable..and Eiko has multiple summons for Fenrir and Carbuncle:
