I have one of those Purevolume pages. www.purevolume.com/tksunglasses

Any and all feedback is appreciated. The vocals don't sound very good because the only mic I have is really shitty, so don't bother commenting on that.

Voice is taaaaaad abit annoying, just a tad. Also, you need more distortion on that guitar.

I enjoyed it. I think the vocals are the only thing that really needs work. I know you asked us not to comment on them BUT the rest is all about taste...the vocal are weak. You should post on the forum Collective Zine http://www.collective-zine.co.uk like minded people that will no doubt enjoy your music.

i'm not a fan of the first song 'sculptures' but the second song 'sentry' is pretty fucking awesome. anyways you should keep one making some more songs. i just have one little problem, the vocals need a little work. other wise, great music.

More detail on what you think about the vocals would be helpful! Do you just mean they should be turned up or you talking about my actual singing?

If all you mean is about the fuzziness, there's nothing I can do about that until I get a better mic.

Because it features me as the drums!

It's true. Without rezo as the percussion, that song would completely suck.

YOur vocals sound a bit out of tune and like you struggle on some of the notes. And you need to turn up the guitar.

I'd agree...I don't think you are the strongest vocalist, however, learning to write to suit your voice takes a while. I've seen some people start awful and then have a few labels hovering over them as they developed their writing style to suit their vocals rather than write a song and just try to sing it. I didn't mean that your vocals were awful by that. Do you want to go on a compilation cd of singer songwriters im releasing?

I done that, the songs i wrote were always way to high for me.

Basically my recommendation for your vocals is not to try too hard, just try and stay at what is really comfortable for you. But seriously though the vocals aren't too much of a problem, just abit of out of tune here and there.

If I had something better recorded I would, but I don't have the equipment to make something worthy of actual distribution right now.

i think some of it is the mic, also it sounds like your voice is a little too strained or something. like you're maybe holding back your voice. it's kind of hard to put into words. well i suppose for now try to get a better mic and then i'll listen to it again and see if it's the mic or your voice.

The songs won't stream properly for me, but what's this about rezo doing percussion?

I'll listen to them if you can send me the mp3s or something, TK.

Well i`ll say that, in "Sculptures" your voice really shines. It suits the music and works very well. Maybe it`s the recording equiptment but in "Sentry" i don`t think you vocals were heard as well and undisturbed.

Good job though, they sound good to me.

One day, rezo posted a voice clip of himself doing a rimshot. So as a joke I was like "I will make a song using that as the drum beat!" And then I decided it would be especially funny if I actually did, so I made the song up and recorded it using rezo's drum beat in the space of one to two hours.

I'll send them to you sometime, though I don't seem to get on IRC as much now that school has started. =/ You could try clicking the "download" links, that works better sometimes.

Both of these songs are pretty awesome, nice vocals, a little nasal, but nice anyways.

Thankfully my speakers are on the brink of being binned so I didn't notice the fuzziness at all.

Anyway, I thought the vocals on Sculptures were particularly nice. You have a great voice, especially the way it crescendoed up along with the guitar on the chorus because you had the right amount of confidence and as a result it made for quite an effective piece overall, and the guitaring definitely did it justice as an accompany, I really liked it! As for Sentry, the percussion made a difference and laced fittingly with the soft guitar playing, but the vocals were slightly unsteady in places. All in all, very impressive, nice work.

Well, mostly because I never look at the other forums. Sorry bout that. You can change it or move the thread if you want, or just leave it up for other people to go "Oh look, TK does music"

haha, that's cool. I was actually just confused because I thought you must have gotten to it from the thread, since I took the link out of my sig. In any case, I am gonna merge this into the other thread. Might as well keep it where it belongs.
