Yeah, I think I saw the manga somewhere. My Slam Dunk manga actually advertises JoJo at the back. I haven't seen the anime but I don't think I'd be interested. It's too old, so the animation probably isn't that good.

I know there's a game about JoJo's bizarre adventure again for either PS2 or Dreamcast.

Yeah, it was out about 2 years ago for the Dreamcast.

JoJo's Bizzare Adventure for the DC... That was a very... VERY strange game, and if the anime is anything like the game, I'd be very interested in it. What was with those freaky, ghosts or spirits or whatever the hell they were?

JoJo's is actually animated very well for it being as "old" as it is. [BTW, don't judge a book by its cover!]

It is a manga series that spans 7 parts now. the first main character is Jonathan Joestar (though everyone calls him JoJo), and the first part of the manga [titled "Phantom Blood"] details him having to fight the vampire named Dio Brando. His grandson, Josef Joestar (who's grandmother gives him the nickname JoJo, after his grandfather) has to learn his grandfather's fighting technique in three months time to the extent that he can defeat the three Pillar Men who created the stone mask that Dio used to turn himself into a vampire [This is my favorite part by far; its just frickin' sweet!]. In the third part, Jotaro Kujo (Josef Joestar's grandson) gets possesed by the Stand "Star Platinum" and must go defeat Dio once and for all to save his mother's life. He is also called JoJo, and during pretty much every part of the series there is at least one JoJo (except for part 5; but GioGio is close enough that he is considered the JoJo of that part). The Anime series is of part 3 and is DEFINETLY worth a shot.
