What do you think is the best place in FFVII to quickly master materia and level up?

I'd say use the apocalypse weapon for cloud and fight at the botton of the crater, and try to especially look for magic pots and movers, they'll give most AP.

I believe it's the crater where sephiroth is. The enemy there give away high ap's. If you want to level up, go to the submarine/airplane underwater.

I always go into the northren creater, as Movers and magic pots are best for mastering materia and leveling up your characters.

movers give you a total of 2,400 ap and each magic pot gives you 1,000 ap (a maximum of two Pots)---but there's a catch you have to give them an elixer but thats not a problem if you have w-item.......just imagine if you have the apocalypse or the scimitar

yeah the northern crater is the only place to level up. just make sure you use the w-item trick for elixer's and use weapons with double and triple materia growth

Mideel is another great place. It doesn't have those great enemy's but its easy to access

The Nothern Crater is the best and Mideel is the best outside the crater.

:o in my opinion, the best place is in the northern crater, I forgot where...but there are these three blue balls, and they give a TON of AP (or whatever ff7 uses, i forgot:confused: ) and even more gil!

i usually go to Mideel when i want to master materia or up my levels. Later in the game i'll screw around in the Crater, but beforehand, i just spend hours upon hours in Mideel.

I've never encountered them in One's just Three's.

I usually go to mideel in the beginning of the game, to level up and as well for mataria... later on the northern crater, but I dun like the crater so much x_X ;)

The best place to level up is the crater and outside the crater are the sunken plane and the place where Ultima Weapon Crashes after u defeated him.

The Northen Crate is good and all, but if you want to rest and save it'll take a while to get out. I recomend Mideel and the Sunken Plane. Both have easy access to save points and free inns. I'd only recomend the Northen Crater if you can get in and out easily.

If ur running out of elixers for those magic pots simply use the enemy skill Angel Whisper.

I've been using the walkway before the City of the Ancients (for those pre-highwind guys out there). You get yourself a repectable 250 or so AP. Equip Double Materia growth... 500 ain't bad for a disc 1 level fest, eh?

I'm not sure if its the best place, but I allways went to the sunken airplane to level up, you can also steal a bunch of sources from I think all the enemies down there which is really nice to boost those stats.

The sunken plane is my least favorite place to level, the creatures r hard, give u not as much Exp and AP's as the creatures in the Northern Crater.

the weapons have a lot of ap and if you have hades w summon mimic and KoR you cant loose

by what ive seen your all waisting your time, if you look at the bestiary in the strategy guide, you can tell which monsters give the most ap and where they are. what i do is use the apocalypse sword down by mideel and fight the giant worms on the beach. they show up often and if you have monster attraction materia, then you can get them faster and more often. the cool thing is, they go down fast w/ no problem so you can fight and fight and not die. i havent played the game in over 3 yrs and i still remember my fav. spot to lvl materia. works really well.

the best way to level up your materia is to fight the magic pots in the north crater. (where you get the shield materia). these magic pots give you 8000xp and 1000ap each. there are other monsters like the tonberry.
