Yes, yes they are too low. So what you need to do is; go back to the room with all the pictures on the wall and keep getting into fights, the monsters here give quite a good amount of EXP, do this til your about level 30-32.

I used to think the same but I just started wandering around that place and then started getting into fights, so that's how I leveled up.

How can you not attack the head? There's only one target.

Heh, yeah, that's about where I was. Of course, I made sure I had Cure3 before I went into Cosmo Canyon. I was around level 50 at the start of Disk 2. Yeah, you need to do some serious levelling.

Well anyway mate, as u have been told u gotta lv up a bit zo lv 35 or somewhat lower, just keep ur lv at 30+ and u shoukld be fine ^_^

Well yeah the exp kixk ass to say the least dude, and u can lv up to 70 no problem, you get about 1,300 - 1,700 exp per battle and it's easy to kill the enemies as well, only the dragon u fight there gices only 900 exp, but a lot of AP ;)

You can go all the way to lv 80 there, but u should do that elsewhere, well then have fun at Mt. Nibel ^_^

This may be an insane proposal, but isn't levelling up to 70 a bit overkill while you are at Mt. Nibel. The mechanics of it are mind-boggling. It would take so.. SO long to do that, though granted the rest of the game would be a walkover. How many hours was your final game-clock when you did that, if I may enquire?

Hmm, in Wutai Area, those Birds and Bugs give out some good exp too.

Well yoeah you're right, it takes somewhat long, but the rest of the game really is just a nice walk, you are incredibly strong and even bosses are no problem.

My game clocl showed 99:99 ^_^ but that is cuz i like to lv up my characters to high levels. Being lv 70 at disc 1 Mt. Nibel is overkill, you're right but i just like to do it, besides, it doesn't take as long to lv up as you might think dude ^^

Try it and you will like it - i had also the most powerful spells thanks to all the AP i gathered. I must say it is really great to have access to powerful seplls right at the begining of the game, makes your life easier lol

But you know it's really good to lv up there cuz the exp is really huge and when u get all the good spells, u don't have to really worry about leveling your materia, which is really good. :)

What monsters do you speak of, Monk? Areyou tslking about that one things that dance around and use Stare Down? Or those green bugs that use Lay Flat? I know that those Dragons give good AP, but what others do you speak of? Is there a specific monster that gives off more EXP and AP than other? And if there is, I'd like to have a description.

Sure thing mate - yes those are the guys that use stare down all the time, and those huge grasshoppers or whatever they are, who use lay flat - these are the ones, and there are no other monster around that area

You probably know the materia keeper, it's the boss that you killed in Mt. Nibel, those monster sappear there, and give (here are the exact details I believe ;)) 1,020 exp if there are 3 enemies, and 1,700 exp if there are 5 ^^

They will usually appear in packs of 3 or 5 so u can always hope to get much more than 1,000 exp any time, only the dragon gicves 900 exp , as we already mentioned

Hmmm, I've been leveling there, I'm lvl 43 on my Cloud and when I went there 15 minutes ago I was lvl 42, I haven't gotten far. Anywhere else to lvl on disk one? My main goal is to lvl up my Yuffie and her Materia because I've gotten to Godo in the Pagoda and he heals after I get to a certain damage. So therefor I need to lvl my Bahamut and Odin up for Multiple uses, anywhere I can get batter AP?

Well mate i know that the exp there is really good and i like leveling up there, although i did take a bit long. But if you want better exp, go to rocket town and get Cid. After that you will need to go to the temple of the ancients. It is your next destination, but you prob know that lol :)

Anyway, after you get Cid as your character, go to Fort condor - from there, go in the southwest direction or so. There is an island there, the monsters there give very good exp as well as AP, much better than Mt.Nibel. Of course, use the airplaine to get to that island - in other words, you prob know where mideel is right? Well just next to it is an area to the west, a part of the island on which mideel is, that is where you will find these monsters, and they are your best bet when it comes to AP and exp on disc 1 :)

If you can't find it tell me, i will give you a more exact explanation, haven't played for a while you know ;)

Another good place to train is around Wutai, the enemies there give a fair bit of money, but like Monk said, the Head Hunter's give you 80AP each and you usually fight them in 3's or 4's so that equals 240-320 AP.

Light~Nimbo-stratus

Are these Head Hunters those things that look like Sand Crabs? You know, those little things under the sand in some beaches. I guess I'll have to go back there.

Dunno. One time (when I was a newb) I was heading for the Final Battle, and I it a magic pot. I kept battling and battling and it wouldn't die. Then I started throw all my items at it. I threw an Elixer and then it died. But, I said, I may have lost an elixer, but I lvled up on all chars and master most of my materia.

nooo, put cloud in the FRONT and the rest in the back. Take all materia off cloud, and fire away. (I reccomend gaining regen before battle and equiping with all and casting at the start of battle.
