QOTSA are my favourite band. I should have by this point seen them three times. Bronchitis and terrorist attacks made this impossible, thus I have seen them once. If I don't see them with NiN I will cry.

My favourite song is everybody knows that you're insane, and as far as i'm concerned, their first album was their best.

I wouldn't ever buy anything by them, but when friends put them on I sometimes find myself tapping my foot. They're definitely vastly superior to most bands in the alternative rock category today. I tend to like them the most when they're playing faster.

Haha. Also, a friend of mine who likes them a lot told me that every few years they fly out to the middle of some desert and write an entire new album there in a matter of days. If that's true, it's pretty awesome.

Well...sort of. They meaning Josh Homme gets together a group of people, various artists, and creates an album called The Desert Sessions. I was about to say "they don't!" but then again, QOTSA are basically a group of friends centered around Josh Homme. So, yes, they do do that. Various other artists have joined it, such as Dave Catching and PJ Harvey - they've been doing the shit for quite some time actually. It's coming up to 10 sessions now.

Usually one or two tracks get carried over to the next album too - some good examples are their latest single In My Head (Off of 9&10's "In My Head...or something") Avon (5&6), Monsters in the Parasol (I think 5&6), and Hanging Tree (7&8).

On the whole, I couldn't get into their latest album. Had a few good songs, but it was mostly meh for me. I really like Songs for the Deaf though, probably because I like them better when they play faster stuff too, instead of trying to do slow ballads or whatever like "This Lullaby", if I remember the song properly.

Haven't heard any of their other stuff. Overall, I happily listened to the CDs I borrowed, but wouldn't buy any of their stuff. So yeah, they're good!

I only heard the song called Little Sister and some of In my head. those songs are pretty good. but maybe if i listen to some more of their songs i might like them.

They're pretty good. Haven't got any of their albums (yet), but I love Little Sister, Feel Good Hit of the Summer and You've Got a Killer Scene There Man.

Songs for the Deaf is my personal favorite album. I learned some of their singles on my Bass and now I play with the CD to sharpen my skills.
