If you want a sig/avatar made for you, request it here. If you can, provide links to specific images you want used as it makes it easier for sig makers. Obviously, don't have anything not safe for work in your pictures. If you want to show off the sigs/avatars you've made, do that in <a href=http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?t=7642>this thread</a>. Feel free to offer to make sigs in this thread though.

A quick reminder: The limits on signatures are that they can't be any bigger than 400x150 pixels, and the file size must be no larger than 50kb. If you have multiple sig pics, they have to be under those specifications when combined.

To post a picture in your sig, use the img tags, like this:

If somebody makes you a signature and attaches it to a post, please DON'T use the URL of the attached file to link in your sig. Save the file to your computer, and then upload it to the internet yourself. Use <a href=http://www.photobucket.com>Photobucket</a> to do this. It's very easy to use and reliable. Once you've uploaded the file, Photobucket will give you the web address of the image to copy right underneath it in your album.

Ok i've been messing about in photoshop for about a year but in the past three months I've started using it for more serious stuff, eg website building. I can see why you thought i wasnt that experienced though as my old sig was pretty average but I hope my new sig makes a better impression although its a little fuzzy

text-- What sort of text you want on the graphic and what it should say.
colour scheme-- colours you want in the background of your graphic.
animation-- if you want any animations in your graphic please specify what.
Style-- Tech, grunge, abstract, or any others.

Or something like that.

You reduce the file size by reducing the quality of the image, instead of saving it at 12 on photoshop, try 7 or 8, you can also reduce the dimensions of the document to something like 300x100 instead of 400x150.

leaving the same size in pixels is fine, all you need to do is save it as a lower quality. To get the options for quality go to "File">"Save for Web" set the image as a JPEG or a JPG and play with the quality controls until it is within limits. Also if you wnat to argue sig limits, UFFFan yours is at 120Kb compared to 50Kb. Usually saving an image "for the Web" will compress it a small bit more than a normal save, then you can play with the quality. I believe my sig is currently at 3/4 quality.

Also I haven't been on as much because I am racing to finish all my summer assignments before school starts.

Sorry my sig work is going slow at the moment, I'm getting ready to go back to VIth form and i've got a lot of work on my art project to do (I'm doing computer art lmao) so sigs are taking a backseat at the moment, but as soon as i'm back everything should be back to normal, hopefully.

Depends on the image, but most of the time you can find the same image somewhere else.

It's not so hard to make sigs, people are just lazy to make their own. But it's really nice that there's a place for those lazy people. Or perhaps the reason is because some of those people don't know to make their own. hmmm... I guess I can't make such assumptions. But oh well. I guess I'm just bored, so I'm typing something to keep me occupied.

I actually get bored of requests. But any ways, im back from a short hiatus(or whatever the hell it is). Been messing with image ready makin' some nice animations. Any one have requests, or are we still knoking off bits of that list.

First off you'll need a graphics program, the best are, to my knowledge:

Adobe PhotoShop
Paint Shop Pro
G.I.M.P.
(and there are more that I can't remember)
after you have one go to good-tutorials.com or another tutorial site and look up a "Full signature tutorial"

You buy them at computer stores, Wally-World (AKA Wal-Mart). Some places charge around $300 for 'em. VERY expensive.

Cage Delinquent, occasionally, artists do draw from scratch, this is known as original artwork.

However, I believe most of HSY's sigs contain renders (images used from another image) like the images of Yuna, it saves sig makers a hell of a lot of time, and frustration, if they can't draw people. I like HSY's sigs, though like everyone at the workshop, they're not the best I've seen.

Also, Elem Bahamut, that sig is not allowed here for two reasons, the french at the bottom reads "full or partial reproduction is illegal", and you have 3 images, each 200x200 pixels, sig rules state that the maximum you can have is 1 image of 400x150 pixels, or more images adding to that amount, and as you have three, you probably go over the 50kb limit as well
