I have recently bought this manga. It is one (in my thoughts) of the best mangas i have read in a while. the 1st shot takes place in The infamous city of thieves which rumor has it was built around a life-sized jewel called The Double Mermaid'. and of course the main character Jing and his companion Kir (a small bird that has a nag for any cute female thing that moves) are seeking this rare treasure. But to get to it they must climb to the top of a light house. but many people have tried but failed to climb it and it cost them their lives. the reason Because of Cognac a ruthless man that stops everyone that trys to climb his light house and steal The Double Mermaid'. How will Jing and Kir Make it to the top alive? find out in 'Jing : King Of Bandits' part 1!

i saw i think the first 13 or so eps. (prolly all they ever made) and i did't like it too much. it seemed interesting but then i realized it never got deep. every episode was standalone. and in my mind i was hoping that he wasn't just wandering around, he was trying to get to someplace and all those episodes were just on the way to a greater search. but it never got to that point so to me it was probably just all fillers and didn't care for it much.

I've watched the anime and I think I fell in love with Jing. <3 Jokingness aside, it's a really good anime. I think the art is pretty well done and the english dub doesn't suck (=O) So yeah. The ending was very sweet and the OVA was also very well done. It's pretty confusing at sometimes but I think if you think deeply into it, you'll get it.
